Job Description

    Business Development Manager (BDM) .Position Overview: The Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for driving business growth and expanding the companys market share in the insurance sector. This role involves identifying new business opportunities, building client relationships, and achieving sales targets while ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.Key Responsibilities:
    1. Business Development:
      • Identify and target new clients, brokers, and agents to drive growth in insurance products.
      • Explore new market segments and opportunities to enhance the companys customer base.
      • Develop and execute strategies for acquiring new business and expanding the client portfolio.
    2. Sales & Revenue Generation:
      • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for insurance products.
      • Promote and sell a range of insurance products to prospective clients.
      • Cross-sell and upsell products to existing clients based on their needs.
    3. Client Relationship Management:
      • Build, maintain, and nurture long-term relationships with clients, agents, and key stakeholders.
      • Act as a trusted advisor by understanding clients requirements and providing tailored solutions.
      • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and resolve any issues promptly.
    4. Market Research & Analysis:
      • Stay updated on industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities.
      • Analyze market dynamics to identify potential business opportunities.
      • Provide market feedback to the management team for continuous product and service improvements.
    5. Collaboration & Teamwork:
      • Work closely with the internal team to ensure smooth policy issuance, renewals, and customer support.
      • Coordinate with underwriting, claims, and other departments to deliver seamless customer experiences.
    6. Reporting & Documentation:
      • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and pipeline updates.
      • Provide regular reports to senior management on sales performance and business development activities.
    Qualifications & Skills:
    • Proven experience in sales and business development, preferably in the insurance or financial services industry.
    • Strong understanding of insurance products and the market landscape.
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
    • Ability to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
    • Goal-oriented with a track record of achieving sales targets.
    • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
