Job Description

Creates and maintains main system files for receiving customer data and sending shipment notification, invoices, etc. Creates and maintains all data as necessary for correct bar codes, packing slips and invoices.

Receives incoming customer orders/releases and pulls existing GKN paperwork. Reviews existing order/releases for accuracy in addresses, part numbers, revision levels, quantities, dates, etc. to release from customers. Creates new order/line items as determined necessary.

Controls orders/releases from requirements variability perspective and if necessary escalates potential supply issues with direct customer contact as well as line manager,

Maintains shipping history and cumulative totals from shipping log. Verifies accuracy of cumulative totals on system and maintains as necessary. Notes returns and rejections and the effects on orders through cumulative discrepancies and notification of returns from receiving. Notifies Logistics of customer disposition of returns.

Creates and maintains a system listing of customer order/release idiosyncrasies. Creates and maintains internal information on orders as required. Notifies Account Managers, Logistics personnel and any relevant personnel of any out-of-the-ordinary occurrences on incoming orders. Maintains files on open orders, audit reports, addresses, etc.

Maintains and creates on main system as necessary: all bill to and ship to addresses. Creates and maintains for each customer on main system in addition to the address: a phone number where available, a vendor code where available, the assigned sales region and salesman as available, the assigned terms of payments and the assigned warehouse.

Maintains and monitors all relevant/required data on Customer specific Portals. Submits disputes when necessary.

Performs other duties as assigned and assists other departments when necessary.

Performs Lean Enterprise and continuous improvement tasks as needed or required.

Follows departmental procedures and work instructions.

Knows of and where to locate quality and environmental policies.

Assists in physical inventories as needed.

Performs layered audits as required.

Qualifications: Associates Degree in Supply Chain Management or Business ,
