Job Description

    Job descriptionJob Title:Design & Engineering ManagerJob Summary:Our electrical manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Design/Engineering Manager to lead the design team responsible for manufacturing PLC/DCS, MCC, PCC, and VFD panels for our clients. The Design Manager will be responsible for managing and guiding the team in designing panels that meet the technical specifications, quality standards, and customer requirements.Key Responsibilities:
    • Lead and manage the design team responsible for creating PLC and VFD panels, ensuring that the team produces high-quality designs within the specified time frame.
    Develop and implement design processes, standards, and procedures to ensure consistent and efficient panel designs.
    • Collaborate with sales and engineering teams to understand customer requirements and ensure that the panel designs meet those requirements.
    • Ensure that the designs meet technical specifications and comply with relevant safety standards and regulations.
    • Review and approve design drawings, bills of materials, and other technical documents prepared by the team.
    • Participate in design reviews and provide technical guidance to the team.
    • Monitor and report on project progress, identifying potential issues and risks, and recommending solutions.
    • Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, ensuring that they are completed within the specified time frame and budget.
    • Provide training and mentoring to team members, promoting their professional growth and development.
    Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
    • At least 8-12 years of experience in the design of PLC/DCS, MCC, PCC, and VFD panels, preferably in an electrical manufacturing company.
    • Strong technical knowledge of PLC/DCS, MCC, PCC, and VFD panel systems and their components.
    • Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and other design software.
    • Excellent project management and leadership skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
    • Knowledge of relevant safety standards and regulations.
