  • Ensure compliance with thorough knowledge of relevant National & International standards & Codes, Design guides, Practices, methods and techniques related to Electrical Basic Design & Detail Enginnering.
  • Establish Electrical Engineering design Basis/ Design Philosophy & Design criteria and provide guidance and evaluation for the same.
  • Conduct work especially for Extra high voltage & High Voltage electrical distribution systems design; Electrical load Analysis and short-circuit studies; Electrical Equipment sizing (EHV/HV/MV Power cables, Power & Distribution Trafos., EHV/HV/MV Switchboards, NGR, AC UPS, DC UPS,Cathodic Protection, Electrical heat tracing etc.) , Substations /UPS room sizing alongwith ideal location of substations in Plot Plan, Developmenmt of Single Line Diagram, Awareness of Numerical relays usage, Protection Coordination & relay settings, Cable schedules, Interconnection diagrams, Lighting Calculations, Earthing system calculations, Lightening Protection calculations, Fire detection & Alarm systems, isolated and emergency power systems, electric power distribution networks,Assist in the development and recommend design approaches for new and improved products and or processes.
  • Conduct technical investigation involving the origination or modification of material, component or process specifications
  • Resolution of teething site issues and assist site teams with prompt solution to the problems faced by site personnel.
  • Knowledge of basics involved for finalization of various Electrical Layouts-Cable Layout, Earthing layout, Lighting layout, Lightening protection Layouts for Buildings/Process Plants and Substation Equipment Layout
  • Other tasks as assigned.
, *Specific Requirements
  • Bachelor s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • At least ten years of experience in Design, Detail Engineering of Projects in the Infrastructure Sector consisting of Commercial/Institutional buildings complexes.
  • Registration as a licensed professional engineer is added qualification.
  • Highly proficient computer skills including using applications such as Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Proficiency with ETAP system study software, SP Electrical software for Electrical system design is desirable.
  • Knowledge of BIM software is preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with an emphasis on the ability to organize and present design information to clients.
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English.
