Job Description

    MANAGER NPDPosition: Manager - NPDLocation: Faridabad or ready to relocate Faridabad.Educational Qualification : B-tech in Printing & PackagingWork Experience Should have 8-10 years experience in the Printing & Packaging IndustryCompensation: Commensurate with experience. About 50k-60k monthly. 1. New product development for existing and new customer delivering value addition.2. Any new sample for the customer has to be checked, detailed and ensures that the samples are reaching the customer with all the details mentioned on the specification sheet.3. Appropriate checklists for each stage of the NPD process is to be developed and adhered to ensure consistency of delivery without mistakes.4. If the customer specification sheet is not available then we have to create a standard format for sending the samples.5. Feedback on the samples sent.6. Ensure that the first three supplies for the new product are checked and also the feedback is taken from the concerned BDM or the customer.7. Any development on alternate substrate should be checked for stability on our machines and also on the customer production line.8. For the first time supplies of a particular product to the customer has to be checked for all parameters then the samples has to be sent to the customer for their approval before the commercial supplies.9. Role requires coordination with Production / QC / SCM functions to ensure that we succeed in delivering the trial samples with OTD and Quality. NPD person is ultimately responsible for ensuring this is achieved through effective coordination with the individual functions.10. Project management skills to handle multiple projects with correct deadlines are a required skill.11. Effective communication skills including early escalation of issues is a critical skill for success in this role.12. The role is envisioned for involvement of NPD for sample approval / Shade card preparation / 1st 3 commercial dispatches. After that, NPD person should provide a comprehensive report detailing all customer requirements and intricacies that will serve Production / QC / SCM to effectively monitor for subsequent dispatches without the intervention of NPD. This role is to provide the support to functions by going deep into the subject and assist in the Team being successful in 1st trial to customer. This role is NOT envisioned as an Audit role for the Production / QC / SCM functions.13. NPD is expected to understand the fine details of the customers packing machine requirements and translate the requirements into actionable activities for Production / QC / SCM.14.
