The Challenge!At GTT, Vehicles Engineering, Tenders & Governmental Vehicles you will contribute to the development of various specific vehicles for French but also other customers all around the globe. It is a fantastic opportunity for you to work on the complete product, from the chassis to the cab. You will be able to handle former electronic architectures as well as the new one. You got it, the scope is wide! Due to the expansion of the activity within the team, we are looking for an experienced (Specialist) Wiring Harness 2D engineer to join and reinforce the Electrical and Electronics group.2. What will you doAs part of the Electrical and Electronics team, you will:

  • Develop and implement complex electrical wiring harness solutions. Here we are talking about 2D activities such as drawings and schematics but also 3D tasks like harness design (depending on your skills).
  • Create, update and manage the product technical documentations.
  • Ensure design correctness and completeness for all wiring harness releases (according to Volvo standards).
  • Secure and analyze input data. Secure release on time.
  • Collaborate with other wiring engineers and the core team. The second step will be to be the leader of the wiring activities (time plan, technical expertise).
  • Collaborate with plants, buyers, and suppliers to introduce Quality, Delay, Cost, Feature and realistic solutions.
  • Assist and support current and new production design projects.
  • Analyze and fix issues related to harnesses.
  • Be proactive when it comes to continuous improvement (process, product, team organization).
You will use the following tools:
  • Saber
  • CATIA V5 EHI
  • Smarteam
  • Pleiade
  • Kola
You may have to travel occasionally to customers and Volvo facilities (mainly France).3. Who you are
  • Skills: Electrical / Mechanical Engineering degree or technical background necessary with minimum 8 years of experience in a similar environment.
  • Strong experience in automotive 2D electrical wiring and harness design.
  • Able to communicate in French & English (written and spoken - professional use).
  • Technical curiosity and good communication/collaboration skills.
  • Autonomous and able to work on several projects in parallel.
  • French nationality needed.
  • Ready to work in a reactive and agile team.
  • Experience in Saber would be a plus.
