Job Description

    As the Equipment & Process Section Manager for the Test Department at Micron Technology, you will be based in GJ India, reporting to the Test Engineering Senior Manager. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee all Equipment Support (E.S.), Equipment/Process Engineering, and support Test Operations/Technical Staff, with the aim of growing the organization into a world-class team.Your role will involve managing all aspects of Equipment Support and Equipment/Process Engineering functions for the department. This includes budgeting, recruiting, hiring, and training of the Equipment/Process team to meet Test Operation output needs. You will also be responsible for budgeting, monitoring, controlling, and improving Equipment/Process related expenses. Setting up Equipment Engineering and Equipment Support processes, including maintenance procedures, will be crucial to ensure smooth operations.Additionally, you will need to ensure proper Equipment/process related documentation is in place for the Test site, and interact with peers and other Departments globally as required. Monitoring, reporting, improving, and addressing issues concerning throughput, performance metrics, and other engineering data will also be part of your responsibilities. You will be accountable for the performance of all equipment in the department and ensuring the availability of equipment, materials, spares, repairs, and consumables to support the operation and manufacturing ramp-up.Furthermore, you will be responsible for the performance management of the Equipment Support Team and its members, as well as the development of the team from both skills and leadership perspectives. Disciplinary issues within the Equipment Section team will also fall under your purview.To be successful in this role, you should have a minimum of 7 years of technical staff leadership experience and possess excellent communication, interpersonal, relationship building, and team-building skills. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, resource, and performance management skills are essential. Proficiency with reporting and data tools, manufacturing software systems, engineering, and equipment support software applications is required. Extensive knowledge of ATE, burn-in, and/or AOI scanner/laser marker/packing equipment & process is necessary.
