Position: DBA Senior Software Engineer / Lead Database EngineerWe are seeking passionate Database Administrator to work with our highly talented team of young, dedicated professionals, who aim to give our customers a memorable shopping experience.Salary: 8-15 LPA MaxExperience Range: 5 - 7 yearsEducation: BE/B.Tech./MCA with 60% throughout academics from premier institutionsPlace of Work: HyderabadNotice Period: 15 MaxFunctional Group: InfrastructureDuties and Responsibilities:o Provision and manage MySQL instances, both in clustered and non-clustered configurations, in standalone and cloud environments, in a high-volume transactional environment with critical uptime requirementso Ensure performance, security, sharding and high availability of databaseso Monitor and support all Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3 activitieso Handle common database procedures, such as new database setup, upgrade, backup, recovery, migration, monitoring etc.o Profile server resource usage, optimize and tweak as necessary and do capacity planningo Manage Mongo and Oracle DB instanceso Prepare and update policies for backup, restore, patching, data retention etc, and ensure the execution of policieso Collaborate with other team members and stakeholderso Expected to take ownership of operations and streamline the processes to increase the productivityo Expected to deliver high performance and high reliable end to end solutions by adhering to timelineso Expected to train and mentor team members, and conduct frequent reviews to share feedback and to contribute to their growtho Expected to review the projects and tasks status of team members and as well report the status to other stakeholdersSkills and Qualifications:o Strong proficiency in MySQLdatabase management of standalone and cluster configurations, storage engines, managing disaster recoverieso Proficient in writing and optimizing SQL statementso Proficient in all DB administrative tasks such as, installation, upgrades, backup, restore, performance tuning, replications, data retention and capacity planning etco Experience in monitoring and automating monitoring processo Ability to work with a highly skilled team of global professionals from Application Development, UNIX, Storage teams and capability to manage on-call support is a musto Excellent troubleshooting, performance tuning skills and ability to write shell scriptso Strong process and methodology to work through SDLC for database deploymento Proficient in UNIX/Linux, cloud environmentso Familiarity with other SQL/NoSQL databases such as Mongo DB, Oracle DB, Google Datastore etc.o Knowledge of de-facto standards and best practices in MySQLo Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as GIT / SVNo Experience with tools like Jira, Jenkins etco Should be a self-starter with high initiative, team player, with problem solving abilities.
