Hiring for a Steel Client for Gurgaon Location Job Description: Responsible for sales activities for Gas Cleaning Plants of Steel melt shops with special focus on Energy Recovery System (from Waste heat) Technical sales of Metallurgical (Ferrous & Non-ferrous) Industry projects (Gas Cleaning & Energy Recovery) with our clients all over India. Market analysis and investigating the true potential for Energy Recovery System in India primarily in the Steel Industry Formulation of strategic planning for exploitation of the full market potential Defining a marketing strategy for each individual client, setting up a personal relationship with the clients key persons Active participation at the sales technical meetings and contract negotiations, signing and progress meetings Together with the commercial department and headquarter, establish the marketing strategy and tactics for the responsible projects, specifically at the final stage In case of technical problems, timely escalate to the Reporting Manager and in absence of Reporting Manager, make an effective communication with the customer and German colleague in Gas cleaning Department responsible for support to Indian operation in in Germany. Active communication and coordination with the headquarters in Germany. Visiting New and existing customers and establishing customer contact for generation of enquiry by identifying need/ latent need of customers. Understanding enquiry and preparation of basic configuration with respect to equipment size, process flow, production levels, equipment requirement, raw material etc. Detailing the offer on SMS standard format of technical specification, understanding of division of scope between SMS and the buyer. Coordination with other departments viz metallurgy, engineering and Electrical & Automation. Coordination with SMS Germany for customer development and joint offers Contact & visit to customer for submission of specification and technical discussions. Summarizing the discussion points in the form of MOM and revision of specification. Contacting engineering & SMS Germany for quantity estimation. Floating enquiries to sub-suppliers, evaluating offers, negotiation if required and summarizing for estimation purposes Co-ordination with estimation for costing. Customers & feedback sharing with engineering and metallurgy for changes. Competencies required o Mechanical I Chemical engineer o Ability to carry out preliminary process calculations like pressure drop calculations across duct network, preparation of flow diagrams (with drafting help from engineering only), doing heat mass balance for working out the calculations for water flow requirement and sizing of water-cooled duct, weight estimation of equipment, duct & structures etc. o Past exposure to steel plants or non-ferrous plant Cu I Al etc.) Or coordinated with metal production plants for similar functions Experience approx. 10 to 15 years o Communication skill, command over language -verbal & written Computer knowledge - MS Office: xis, doc, ppt o Ability to learn new products Acceptance to travel - almost alternate week or every week, if required. Team worker, understanding the requirement of colleagues and coordination. Time management , work management, standardization.
