Required Qualifications: Masters in Mathematics/Statistics disciplines, Engineering (BTech/BE/ Mtech/Masters)Experience in at least two of the areas: Statistical modeling (Regression, Classification, Time-series forecasting), Machine Learning, Text Mining, Optimization, VisualizationExperience using Machine Learning Algorithms: Linear and Logistic Regression, Time Series analysis, Support Vector Machine, K-Means clustering, K-Nearest Neighbors, Decision Trees, Random Forest, Naive Bayes, PCA, SVD, Artificial Neural Networks, Association Rules, Genetic Algorithm, Optimization, Bagging and Boosting algorithms etc.Knowledge on Machine Learning Techniques and Big Data (Hadoop) would be added advantageKnowledge of statistical tools and techniques, especially those relating to data miningProficiency required in one or more of analytical tools such as SAS, R, PythonProficiency in extracting required data for analysis from source systems (proficiency in using SQL), data manipulation and data wrangling (SAS, R, Python/Numpy/Pandas, Scala etc.)Understanding of healthcare data (US, India, Middle East healthcare experience) and worked on FWA for any of the geographiesDemonstrated ability to work with large data setsExcellent communication and decision making skills are essentialStrong analytical, problem solving and decision-making skillsValues Based Competencies:Passionate about asking and answering questions through the use of large structured and unstructured dataIntegrity: Show consistency between action and words on a consistent basisPerformance: Demonstrate urgency in pursing goals, put in extra effort to achieve outcomes required, has a strong commitment to quality and accuracy and getting thing done correctly the first time, as well as managing time effectivelyFocus on Customers: Consistently meet or exceed customer expectations, identify or develop new processes to enhance customer outcomesCareers with Optum.
