Role Summary
• Associate Test Analyst with 2-5 years total exp having the below mentioned skill set:
  • College graduate degree from a reputed institute
  • Strong academic background & Good communication skills.
  • Good reasoning and analytical skills
  • Should have basic knowledge of web testing, mainframe knowledge(preferred)
  • Should have conceptual understanding of Testing Methodologies required
  • Can identify test plans, objectives, major activities, and specific deliverables associated with testing.
  • Is familiar with different methods, tools, and techniques used to accomplish test objectives.
  • Is familiar with internal and best practices for test case design.
  • Good reasoning and analytical skills
  • Technical/Business/Quality Certification: CSTE,ISTQB, CMMI,LOMA-Desirable
  • Worked as Lead/SPOC the Customer Interface
  • Has created test plans, specifying deliverables to meet test objectives and activities to produce test deliverables for small projects and/or provided input to the preparation of test plans for larger projects (projects involving more than one product line, application or data repository).
  • Follows processes on obtaining test plan reviews, approvals and sign offs.
  • Has provided input on estimates for the duration of activities, and resources needed to execute the test plan.
  • Is able to define the assumptions that must exist for testing to be comprehensive and on-schedule.
  • Has established success criteria, acceptance criteria, entrance/exit criteria that must be met or validated to make key decisions or to move to the next level of testing or production.
  • Has developed or adapted the approach to be used for test design and execution for small and/or simple projects.
  • Has documented test design requirements, including purpose, preparation, and usage.
  • Has developed test cases and scripts, including the techniques and approaches to be used for validation of the product.
  • Has determined the data set or sub-set needed to ensure a comprehensive test of the system.
  • Has built conversion data scenarios or test cases that would help exercise the requirements.
  • Has in-depth knowledge of multiple testing products and approaches.
  • Is able to test all aspects and evaluate against all stated objectives. Is able to test the more complex test scenarios.
  • Analyzes information so that all pertinent information is recorded and can be communicated to the appropriate people. Has reviewed test results vis- -vis requirements, documented, and organized the results.
  • Has reported on the status of defects, including severity. Monitors and reports on defects from the time of recording until there is satisfactory resolution of the problem.
  • Has analyzed test results/defects and found other areas of the system that can be targeted for potential regression.
  • Provides the test effort s QA lead with their assessment and confidence level of the area of the system they are testing.
  • Understands core applications for a major business unit or function.
  • Is experienced with assessing the likelihood of different types of risks and initiating strategies to test for or manage those risks.
  • Has developed expertise in quality assurance tools, techniques, and standards.
  • Has in-depth knowledge of multiple testing products and approaches.
  • Is able to test all aspects and evaluate against all stated objectives.
  • Has the ability to run automation scripts through the designated test tool (e.g. knows how to run a script through Quality Center).
  • Utilizes automation as part of a project and incorporates automation into project reporting.
  • Applies information or knowledge gained from one project to future projects. Searches for ways to reuse own applications across numerous different projects.
Unique Requirements : Should be flexible to to work in 12:00PM to 8:30PM shift. Accountability Core Responsibility
• Reviews business requirements and provides comments on accuracy and completeness.
• Contributes to the identification and assessment of risks and exposures.
• Attends design reviews and understands application and system designs at a basic level.
• Develops and maintains test plans (including identifying test situations/scenarios) for less complex functions.
• May be responsible for conducting a test plan review and acquiring test plan signoff.
• Designs and creates test case documentation including test situations, data setup, execution steps and expected results.
• Interacts with business analysts/developers and other project team members while developing expected results and verifying results.
• Executes test cases for various types of testing including function, conversion, integration, intersystem, platform, parallel, stress, or regression.
• Logs all defects in Quality Center and manages defects until they are closed, approved, or deferred.
• Provides regular status updates to Test Lead or Project Manager including any known issues or test concerns.
• Provides input or completes Test Report.
• Maintains clear communication with Test Lead.
• Able to work flexible hours and weekends as required.
• Participates in lessons learned.
Additional Responsibility
• Person should be able to
  • 3-5 Year experience in Functional Testing Testing
  • Strong Web Testing Skills
  • Test Lead Experience is Plus
  • Automation knowledge is desirable
  • Good Reasoning and analytical skills
  • Good Communication skills
  • 1-2 Financial/Insurance Domain
  • Shift is 12 PM to 8:30 PM
  • Work as a team player
  • Agile Experience is a plus.
Eligibility Minimum Qualification
• 3-5 years of Overall IT experience.
• College graduate degree from reputed organization
• 3-5 year of experience in Testing Methodologies
• Good communication skills.
• Team Player.
• Good Reasoning and analytical skills
• Exposure to Customer Communication
Industry Experience
• 3-5 years of Overall IT experience including the experience of leading projects.
• Should have Good communication, Reasoning and Analytical skills
• Should have good exposure to Customer Communication
• Should have good knowledge of testing Methodologies and well versed with Testing processes
• Should have good knowledge & experience in web, mobile and Vignette/WEM (or other content management systems).
