Inviting applications for the role of Assistant Vice President - Life ActuarialAnalytics Lead-Risk Management will be responsible for end-to-end model development and validation of risk models in one or more risk management domains including origination, behavior, loss forecasting, stress testing (CCAR), reserving, and allowances purposes (US GAAP/CECL). Responsibilitie s
    • End-to-end model development and validation of risk models.
    • Assess risk models conceptually and quantitatively on variable selection, model methodology, and related assumptions to ensure the model is suitable for its intended use.
    • Conduct necessary assessments like back testing , statistical analysis, stability analysis, stress testing, and scenario forecasts to assess risk models.
    • Document the model development or validation report for review and create and review the ongoing monitoring plan for continued use of the model.
    • Lead a team of quantitative analysts who are qualified in the field of mathematics, econometrics, and finance and provide expert judgement and guidance related to their quantitative assignments for additional model insights.
    • Lead client engagement by managing projects, providing technical guidance, and oversight.
    Qualifications we seek in you Minimum qualifications
    • The position requires a Master s degree in Mathematics , Finance, Data Science, Statistics, Engineering (all), Computer Science, Sciences, or a related field and experience in the job offered, a software engineering, programming, data scientist, risk management analyst, systems analyst position, or related occupation.
    • As an alternative, a Bachelor s degree in Mathematics , Finance, Data Science, Statistics, Engineering (all), Computer Science, Sciences, or a related field and progressively responsible post- Bachelors experience in the job offered, a software engineering, programmer, data scientist, risk management analyst, systems analyst position, or related occupation is also acceptable. Foreign degree equivalents are acceptable.
    • The position also requires experience in quantitative risk modeling roles for various model classes including Stress Testing/Allowance, and experience in handling large datasets using tools (such as SAS, R, Python, and SQL) to perform data cleaning, transformation, and analysis for modeling.
    • Position headquartered in Danville, IL with travel required to unanticipated project sites throughout the U.S. based on client need.
