Process Overview:
The Futures Options and OTC Clearing team supports a global client base trading on 40+ global exchanges. It is a fast growing business focusing on growth through new client relationships and expanding marketing channels.
The Operations team partners with our Business and Technology counterparts to provide a seamless front to back flow for our clients so they have uninterrupted access to the markets and to their positions and activity so they can best manage risk.
Chicago is the regional operations hub providing support for markets in AMRS region. We work closely with our regional and global counterparts to present a single global face to clients in the form of consolidated statements, reports, and technology.
The Global Asset Services - Operational Risk Control (ORC) team is seeking a candidate for the regulatory and enterprise risk group. The ORC team is responsible for the implementation of operational risk management policies, procedures, and standards for Tax Operations globally. The team is directly accountable for Risk and Control issues of the Client Asset Line of Business and also works with Corporate Operational Risk to implement GTO Enterprise Risk standards.
Key goals of the team are:
Promote a strong Risk Culture, Understand our Risk Profile and Risk Appetite, Establish sound risk management processes to effectively identify, measure, monitor, and control risk, and Ensure we have proper Risk Governance in place to communicate, escalate, and debate risks Responsibilities:
Compiling the presenting metrics demonstrating the effectiveness of the processes and controls Responding to a broad range of both routine and ad hoc requests concerning risks and controls Responsible for managing projects from the envisioning, definition of business requirements and processes through to systems development, testing and implementation. Manage timelines and perform an independent assessment of project deliverables Plan and manage meetings and working groups Perform routine status reporting Involvement in other enterprise initiatives (ERH/PRC alignment, PCS, etc) Requirements:
Education: college degree required, preferably with a concentration in a Finance-related field 13+ years performing back office/middle office operation, risk management, business analysis/definition and Project Management to support large projects or business change or both Mandatory Skills:
Understanding of the Front to Back Workflow of fixed income/equity/ETD/OTC products is preferred o Familiarity with trade lifecycle Experience in Operations or Control initiatives Must have ability to apply strategic thinking to multiple, complex organizational and business issues, ability to translate into practical plans for project execution Desired Skills:
Ability to work independently, set and manage plans, achieve results Ability to drive to closure and keeping diverse groups accountable for deadlines Strong collaboration, influence, and relationship management skills Shift Timings: Rotational Shifts between 9:30 AM - 12:30 AM (Open to APAC, AMRS, EMEA Shifts)
