Job Description

    • The Knowledge & Education (K & E) Department at AXA XL forms part of the Platform organization and consist of three main teams that have been aligned to AXA XL s core Underwriting Regions and Underwriting Divisions including respective core systems, tools and applications. The K & E Department is ultimately responsible to accommodate and deliver all Middle Office and Shared Services related System, Process, Tools & Insurance Technical knowledge and education needs as well as all associated documentation.AXA XL s Middle Office and Shared Services community consists of Underwriting Assistants, Technical Specialists, Network Partner Specialists, Credit Controllers, Technical Accountants, etc., who predominantly provide different operational and administrative support to the AXA XL Underwriting community.As the Lead of the K & E Team in India, you will report directly to the K & E Lead and will be responsible to manage and assure your assigned reports effectively and efficiently deliver a broad range of eLearning modules related to the System, Process, Tool & Insurance Technical modules as per the storyboard provided by the team members and provide admin support related to the Trainings conducted by the trainers. Each K & E Support Team member consists of expertise on the various eLearning authoring tools. Your role will predominantly focus on managing a large team of approximately 6 on-, team members providing technical support related to eLearning authoring tools, delegating tasks, streamlining the process from time to time and handle issues related to staff grievance.What will your essential responsibilities include Assure all eLearning modules created, admin support provided, and documentation of the various tasks performed by team are in accordance with the defined K & E documentation guidelines for the assigned Underwriting Divisions and Regions. The overall objective is to assist the K & E Lead and K & E Managers to achieve the deadline of the AXA XL eLearning modules, projects and other commitments within the given timeline. The tasks have to be of highest possible standard and must be completed within the requested timeline. Provide advice, guidance and clarification services towards the eLearning applications with respect to the different eLearning assets such as Modules, Nuggets, Microlearning, eBook, etc.
    • Review of the tasks completed by the K & E - Support Specialists focused on data and quality errors to ensure that the K & E Support team provides the highest quality of work (e.g., for AXA XL eLearning modules, Rebranded K & E Manuals, K & E Team Statistics & Reports, etc.) and leads to the reduction of the review time for the K & E Managers / K & E Team Members.
    • Continuously improve, streamline and timely manage (including prioritization) the challenges of the existing administrative K & E Training Support Procedures (e.g., K & E Training Database, AAX XL Intranet site, K & E Feedback Forms, Infographic Scorecard) as well as the efficient AXA XL eLearning Module creation processes and tasks. Propose new trackers if required and suggest workarounds if required for the team issues.
    • Creation and maintenance of different templates and training guide related to the different admin tasks, or the eLearning tool. Ensuring the different team members are involved in creating new manuals or updating from time to time.
    • Creation of new or updating the eLearning storyboard templates related new eLearning assets, Microlearning, or new category in accordance with the defined K & E documentation guidelines.
    • Keep the K & E Lead and K & E Managers accurately informed and timely updated on the K & E - Support team s priorities, statuses, performance, issues, conflicts, upcoming challenges, new AXA XL s India policies or rather changes. Propose adequate solutions to manage these challenges including maintaining the K & E - Support team s harmony, motivation and performance.
    • Hold monthly K & E Team meetings with the team members to provide them the updates on upcoming projects, innovations implemented by the team, common issues to be handled and sharing of learnings for team members. Also, assure respective documentation of the same and saved on the Shared drive.
    • Attend weekly one-on-one meetings with the K & E Lead and monthly K & E Manager s meetings.
    • Act as a guiding mentor and develop new and/or existing K & E - Support team members. Provide overall guidance and prioritization on the different administrative and eLearning module tasks, so that the K & E Support team members can efficiently and adequately perform their assigned tasks independently and handle all the queries of the K & E Manager and/or K & E team members self-sufficiently. Coach and/or existing K & E - Support (Senior) Process Specialists, so that they have sufficient capacity to work on the adhoc K & E project assignments independently and thereby support the K & E Manager and/or K & E Support Team Lead. The overall objective is that existing and/or new K & E - Support (Senior) Process Specialists can sufficiently and independently act as the assigned K & E Support Team member s back-up on all the K & E Support team responsibilities and tasks as defined in the K & E Service Levels if required.
    • Creation of statistical material for the HCL K & E Manager and/or HCL K & E Team. Leverage all K & E data and reporting sources and produce a monthly K & E Scorecard. Leverage all K & E data and reporting sources (including the production of a monthly K & E Scorecard) and draw respective conclusions from the data to increase the bottom-line profit.
    , *We re looking for someone who has these abilities and skills:
    • First rate leadership and management experience and a proven track record of managing a team of similar size and associated dynamics.
    • In-depth understanding of the eLearning authoring tools, video editing tools, audio editing tools, picture editing tools, etc.
    • Prior experience with Learning Management Systems and Learning Content Management Systems handling and maintenance (including Creation of ILT Sessions, uploading of eLearning assets, periodical reporting and statistics preparation) is mandatory.
    • Experienced in the area of staff training and development is essential.
    • Proven record of profound insurance administration knowhow (e.g., Underwriting, Policy, Claims, Reinsurance, etc.) for risk managed insurance solutions and experience including associated administrative tasks and processes is preferred.
    • In-depth knowhow on the large corporate national and multinational underwriting insurance industry, EPC, Casualty, Specialty or Professional lines of business is preferred.
    • High degree of routine in the development, creation and design of training materials, presentations, manuals and business processes preferred.
    • Experienced with eLearning authoring tools, text-to-speech as well as other online courseware and multi-media-based training software (e.g., Articulate Storyline 3 or 360, Captivate, IVONA, Videoscribe, Camtasia, Amazon Polly, etc.) advantageous.
