Job Description

The role holder will support on Business Continuity Management (BCM) across GBS (Group Business Services). The role holder will support Specialist/Principal, Risk and Compliance/Business Continuity and Compliance to plan and deliver BCM program. They are likely to be seen as an expert in their relevant area by the teams that they support. They will support the development of BCM strategy and policy.What I ll be doing your accountabilitiesBCM Framework Implementation- To conduct Business Impact Analysis, Risk Assessment, document Bsuiness Continuity plans, develop and implement BCM recovery strategy.BCM Awareness & Testing- To plan and conduct BCM Awareness Sessions and BCM exercising/testing in line with overall BCM Framework.Compliance Culture (BCM)- To drive and implement programs to create awareness and provide trainings around standards, policies and processes to develop Compliance Culture across GBS around BCM.Reporting- To produce business intelligence reports and dashboards to raise awareness, analyse process/systems/organisational performance metrics and report progress/status of BCM Programs at senior management level. Carry out high level and insightful analysis that will identify opportunities for Business Improvement.Compliance Governance(BCM)- Ensuring that BCM Governance Calls are scheduled, take place and materials and actions are kept centrally / followed.Compliance Framework(BCM) Contributing to the construction and maintenance of an effective BCM Compliance framework for GBS.Compliance Solutions(BCM) - Delivering specific and specialist BCM compliance solutions to ensure that GBSs Compliance Framework is robust and underpins the Best Connected Plan. To investigate and resolve potential compliance incidents. Ensure compliance with established policies, procedures and internal controls to protect the organizations interest.Horizon Scanning Collating relevant inputs to produce a view of Compliance topics that will impact GBS over the medium term plan.Strategy - Inputting to and delivering GBS s risk strategy through the provision of quality and timely provision of all risk support and/or advice. Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) /Risk Governance - To facilitate and manage workshops to support Risk leads and operational teams in the identification of risks with respect to Business Continuity and the development of indicators that form the basis of risk management and comply with the BT Group s ERM system (or similar / applicable system).Risk Monitoring- To monitor and measure key BCM risk exposures and appropriate risk control measures. To be the first point of call for specific risk & compliance related issues. To work with BT Groups functional support teams, the BT CFUs and the GBS business units.Centre of excellence - Providing expert guidance and advice to middle management/team members of business units on specialist BCM compliance issues, ERM, Governance and Internal Control.Influencing middle management/team members across GBS business units regarding BCM requirements for GBS s products and services, appropriately identifying, managing and mitigating all risks.Reviews - Implementing GBS s BCM strategy by undertaking reviews and audits, implementing actions and improvement plans and investigating suspected non-compliant behaviour.Compliance Risks - Working with GBS business units on compliance risks to ensure that risk are followed and mitigation plans are in existence.Training - Conducting trainings and awareness sessions on BCM initiatives.Leadership accountabilitiesAssisting with the management of certain external regulatory relationships and internal stakeholders.Ability to deputise for line manager.Supervising a team.Handle escalations where necessary.Ability to lead Projects.Innovative and out of box thinking with solution focussed approach.Gives day to day assistance and expert advice to operational management with regard to Compliance issuesMay support Specialist/Principal, R&C/BCM on key projects and tasks.Supports and implements plans for projects over medium term to meet business strategy and objectives.GBS wide role, requiring basic commercial acumen to help deliver GBS wide risk management.Conduct open and honest conversations with the team to help them identify their strengths and development areas.Provide strong, dynamic leadership that mentors, develops, and guides team members to efficiently leverage the value of every Transaction.Key decisionsNormally on a day to day basis, within defined limits prescribed by line management.Identifying future compliance developments and rolling out appropriate compliance programmes to timescales, including managing operational and service requirements.Advising key stakeholders in identifying current risks and implementing additional process / tools to help GBS benefit from world class risk management.Advising key stakeholders in taking decisions related to compliance and risk.Gives both general and detailed assistance in relation to Compliance issues.May operate within supervised parameters, seeking appropriate authority where necessary.Supervising and holding Practitioners to account for their deliverables in an efficient and timely manner.Ability to impart requirements objectively with evidence to meet wider risk objectives.Well also need to see these on your CVSkills required for the jobIndustry specific - Knowledge of the telecoms industry and convergence.GBS specific - Understanding of GBS s business objectives, systems and processes, and the risk and compliance environment in which GBS operates.Business & Process Specific- Understanding of business, process and quality metrics.Analytics- Understanding of analytics and business insights and ability to interpret large sets to draw meaningfull actionable insights.Leadership Comfortable leading/influencing/delivering some of the most strategically important projects for GBS.Strategy A strategic thinker, who will be able to input into the overall compliance strategy for GBS.Customer Champion Understands customers needs and challenges, seeks opportunities to create a brilliant customer experience.Bold decision maker - Breaks down problems, and makes decisions using analysis, intuition and expertise.Solution-focused achiever - Delivers and co-ordinates activities and responds positively to challenges.Team coach - Contributes to a high performing culture, empowering others through coaching and development.Inspiring communicator - Creates inspiring messages, considering different perspectives and delivering simple communications.Change agent - Supports change initiatives locally, adapting quickly and delivering change effectively.Collaborative partner - Develops great working relationships with stakeholders, sharing knowledge and collaborating.Commercial thinker - Uses internal commercial insight and latest external thinking to develop and implement ideas.

Experience you would be expected to have:Indepth experience of working in KPO/ BPO in the areas of finance or telecom operations in a global MNC environment is preferred.Significant experience in Business Continuity or relevant operational role.Working towards a recognised compliance/BCM qualification.Technical knowledge of BCM Framework .Ability to conduct Business Impact Anlaysis, Risk Analysis.Certification in BCM ISO standards, implementation, auditing is preferred.Management and appropriate systems.First class technician with Intermediate Level expertise in ERM and Governance principles.Proven leader with demonstrable skills in inspiring team and promoting expertise area.Good interpersonal skills.Good understanding of the relevant business area in terms of its business priorities.Good understanding of the role of a BCM lead.Good level of computer literacy.Good organisation skills.Good ability to work in teams.Strong communication and presentation skills.Strong Microsoft Office skills ( Excel, Powerpoint, One Note).Accredited in research and analysis techniques for customer satisfaction roles (e.g. survey tools, statistical analysis and root cause analysis) is preferredAble to scope, agree and deliver measures that will drive and assist in the analysis of business performance.Able to provide the data to enable the business to test/challenge current thinking and to drive the implementation of new practices/policies, and where necessary build alternative strategies that can lead to an improvement in business performance.Experience in Implementing/Mentoring Lean Six Sigma/Problem solving methodologies is preferred., *Na
