Job Description

    # Evaluation Engineer## Role summaryEvaluation Engineers are field-based vehicle assessment specialists responsible for inspecting used cars, identifying technical and cosmetic issues, estimating repair needs, and submitting clear inspection reports within turnaround time. The role combines mechanical judgment, disciplined process execution, and on-ground customer handling.## Core responsibilities- Conduct end-to-end technical and visual inspections of used cars- Perform road tests and identify issues related to engine, brakes, suspension, steering, clutch, gearbox, tires, battery, and NVH- Detect accidental history, chassis damage, repaired panels, replaced panels, and repaint work- Validate RC, insurance, odometer reading, and visible signs of mileage tampering- Estimate repair work and maintenance requirements with practical cost awareness- Capture complete inspection photos and prepare accurate reports as per process- Complete every assigned inspection within defined turnaround time- Handle customer conversations calmly when findings do not match customer expectations## Required experience- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in vehicle inspection, car evaluation, workshop diagnostics, or after-sales service- Preferred hiring range is 1 to 6 years## Required skills- Strong understanding of petrol and diesel vehicles; hybrid exposure is a plus- Ability to inspect both manual and automatic cars- Ability to identify accidental vehicles through panel gaps, weld marks, paint mismatch, chassis signs, and structural clues- Ability to identify repaired, replaced, or repainted panels- Ability to assess engine health through noise, smoke, leaks, oil condition, and warning lights- Ability to assess suspension, braking, steering, tire wear, and road-test behavior- Ability to identify odometer tampering or mileage fraud through wear patterns and inspection inconsistencies- Ability to explain technical issues to non-technical customers in simple language- Comfort with repetitive field execution, documentation, and time-bound reporting## Mandatory operating requirements- Valid two-wheeler driving license- Valid four-wheeler driving license- Personal two-wheeler for daily travel- Comfortable traveling 50-60 km per day- Comfortable starting field work by 8:30 AM- Comfortable working on weekends and during festive seasons
