Job Description

Job Purpose

Consultant - Virtualization Cloud Solutions is an expert profile who is responsible for Design, Build and RUN support of x86 Hardware and Virtualization technologies based on x86 Hardware and Virtualization products from different vendors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide Level-3 (Expert) support on x86 Hardware and Virtualization technologies. The L3 Expert helps the Level-2 teams and Orange External/Internal customers to ensure a right level of services.
  • Deliver solutions and customer projects on shared cloud platforms offerings
  • Provide the last level of expertise support for shared cloud offer (Think, Build and RUN)
  • PreSales Support: Qualification of new demands or customer specific solutions. Providing technical support on customized solution, planning, schedule, cost and risk assumptions
  • Think Design: Design and industrialization of solutions and components, design validation and technical support to architects/ offer experts of customer platforms
  • Build Integration : Development of solutions and components, transfer of Knowledge, documentation to OPS, IMPL and other ENG teams
  • Release Management - validation of new releases, writing the RM Documentations (INM, COPY, TSD, Monitoring ), technical handover to offer experts operation and implementation team
  • Run support : Lifecycle management of solution and components using release management, vulnerability management, patch management, and Knowledge management. Providing Level 3 support on complex incidents problems
  • Techno watch : Study of new products/version, proof of concept, visibility on supplier roadmap and competitors
  • Vendor management : Manage technical relationship with suppliers (meetings, exchanges, )
about you

Education, qualifications, and certifications:

  • University degree in Engineering or Science, Master degree in Computer Science/Applications or BS Computer or equivalent with 60% or above
  • Appropriate Platform Certification on VMWARE and x86 HW. it s better if expert have a certification on VCP DCV

Experience:

  • 8 - 10 years experience in x86 HW, VMWARE, & Cloud Management platforms
  • Minimum 6 years experience on x86 HW, VMWARE technologies.

Transversal Skills:

  • Strong communication skills (English -> Read Write Speak)
  • Good interpersonal skills

Technical Kills:

  • x86 Hardware (CISCO USC, DELL, HP,)
  • VMware classical suite (vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, vCSA)
