You will take an experienced and influential role contributing to low/base level software designing on latest to greatest hardware technologies being introduced in 6500 portfolio.Responsibilities

  • Participate in all stages of software development, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, test, and maintenance.
  • Collaborate with architects to drive design decisions.
  • Porting and supporting the operating system on various hardware platforms such as x86, ARM, PowerPC
  • OS Kernel migration to newer versions
  • Middleware software design and development
General Activities
  • Author and contribute in software design, development, validation, and documentation to deliver high quality, functionally excellent products.
  • Drive integration with enabling technologies including third party software, existing platform and hardware capabilities.
  • Trouble shoot issues. Identify root cause, debug & deliver robust timely fixes.
Collaboration with stakeholders
  • R&D teams (Hardware and software)
  • PLM and Product Architects
  • 3rd party vendors.
  • Field Support teams
Experience / Skill Required:A seasoned embedded software designer with 5 years of experience in designing embedded/low-level platform software modules for high availability large scale telecom products.
  • Great inter-personnel and communication skills, carrying a positive attitude.
  • Willingness to work in extremely open, multicultural, multi-site and highly collaborative work environment.
  • Proven track record in following areas is required:Real Time OS: LinuxCompute platform: AMD, NXP/freescale, ARMboard bring up, boot loaders, uBootdevice drivers: CPLD, FPGA, I2C, PCIe, SPI, PM/SM-BUS, eMMC, Flash, ethernet devices, PHY, Power monitor devices
  • Middleware (bridge os/device-drivers and applications)
  • design/debugging tools: gdb, codeWarrior
  • Build tools: make, docker
