People who thrive in a fast - paced environment and will stop at nothing to ensure a project is complete and meets regulations and expectationsThe role of the Enterprise Information Architect focuses on the enterprise aspect of data requirements specific to the design, access, meaning, usage and stewardship of said data. The position requires an understanding of emerging regulatory issues surrounding information assets like Sox, HIPPA, GDPR, etc. The role prioritizes on enterprise master data because of its high impact across the organization, however pertains to key data of all types such as master, reference, transactional, analytical. The role also focuses on all key business data regardless if it is created internally at Stryker or acquired by 3rd party data providers, and regardless its format (i.e. structured, semi - structured, etc.). This role is a shared resource across projects and would need to coordinate closely with the project data architect and other key stakeholders.What you will do In alignment to EA principles and close collaboration with project data architects, data governance leads, and other key stakeholders this role is responsible for:Developing or leading alignment to the information management strategic goals and information architecture operating model.In close collaboration with enterprise business and process architects, translating strategic requirements into usable enterprise information architecture.Leading cross - project information architecture related activities involving enterprise data.Collaborating with project data architects to create and publish enterprise Data Flow Diagrams (DFDs) depicting the end - to - end flow of data for specific subject areas and at the holistic enterprise level.Collaborating with project data architects to create and publish Business Information Models(BIMs) for specific subject areas and at the holistic enterprise level.Collaborating with project data architects and data governance leads to define, manage and publish business glossary and data dictionary for Stryker s key data assets.Leading the definition of integrative and canonical views of data to establish catalog of enterprise data services in the form of unified business views, or in support of convergence of information assets for data migration planning or impact analysis.Leading the definition of technical standards and guidelines that pertain to data and information use, security, access and governance (including defining accountabilities in support of data quality mandates).Streamlining M&A processes by providing information architecture.Ensuring existing information assets are identified, stewarded and leveraged across the enterprise.Creating and leading alignment to enterprise information reference architecture, includes long term strategic goals and vision for data architecture and management tools and standards.Driving change towards data - driven culture; supports and advocates enterprise information management, including coaching and training.Identifying and developing opportunities for data re - use, migration, or retirement.Monitor regulatory guidelines (such as consumer privacy issues) to determine impact on enterprise information architecture.Monitor compliance and related guidance (such as data retention and audit requirements) to determine impact on enterprise information architecture.Monitor emerging industry standards to determine impact on enterprise information architecture.What You Need The successful candidate for this position will have the following experiences and expertise:In - depth experience designing and implementing information solutions.Knowledgeable in the design and construction of information architectures that enable well - integrated transactional, collaborative and analytical systems.Datainformation modeling expertise at the enterprise level.Experience with Data Modelling tools like ERStudio, Sparx CA ERwin is requiredExperience in creating a strategic roadmap and accompanying information architecture to streamline M&As.Understanding of common information architecture frameworks (such as Zachman and FEAF).Understanding of differences between relational modeling and object modeling.Understanding of taxonomies and ontologies, as well as the challenges of ing structured techniques (data modeling) to less structured sources.Understanding of metamodels.Knowledge of modern data tools like Collibra, Tamr, Alteryx, Io - Tahoe, etc. is highly desiredKnowledge of Big Data technologies and solutions is a plus.Knowledge of IMDBs like SAP HANA is a plus.Exceptional interpersonal skills in areas such as teamwork, facilitation and negotiation.Understanding of EA s role and possibilities in the current enterprise is also required.Experience creating information policy to support effective design of information systems and use of information across the enterprise.Experience with various information modeling techniques (such as data flow diagrams, entity - relationship diagrams or createreadupdatedelete matrices).Excellent analytical and technical skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Excellent planning and organizational skillsWork From Home: Not availableTravel Percentage: None CHECK OUT OUR SIMILAR JOBS Join our talent networkJoining our talent network will enhance your job search and application process.
