Job SummaryWe are looking for a highly experienced Freight Forwarding Operations Manager with strong hands-on experience in both Import and Export Operations. The ideal candidate should have complete operational knowledge of Air and Sea Freight and be capable of independently handling the entire shipment lifecycle from booking to final delivery.This is not a documentation-only, customs-only, or customer service-only role. We are looking for an all-round operations professional who has practical experience across documentation, customs coordination, freight forwarding, shipping lines, airlines, overseas agents, customer management, freight pricing, and shipment execution.Key ResponsibilitiesIndependently manage end-to-end Import and Export operations.Handle Air Freight and Sea Freight shipments.Manage FCL, LCL, Consolidation, and Door-to-Door shipments.Coordinate with Shipping Lines, Airlines, Freight Forwarders, CHAs, Transporters, Overseas Agents, Shippers, Consignees, and Customers.Handle shipment bookings, tracking, scheduling, and operational execution.Ensure timely customs clearance and cargo delivery.Resolve operational issues related to shipments, customs, documentation, delays, and customer escalations.Monitor shipment movement and provide timely updates to customers.Coordinate with overseas agents for shipment planning and execution.Negotiate and coordinate with logistics service providers and carriers.Maintain complete shipment records and operational documentation.Ensure compliance with import-export regulations and company SOPs.Monitor freight market trends, carrier performance, transit times, and operational efficiencies.Mandatory Hands-On ExperienceCandidate must have working knowledge of:Import OperationsExport OperationsFreight Forwarding OperationsAir Freight OperationsSea Freight OperationsFCL & LCL ShipmentsShipping Line CoordinationAirline CoordinationCHA CoordinationOverseas Agent CoordinationShipment Planning & ExecutionFreight Quotation & PricingCustoms Clearance ProceduresCustomer Service & Escalation HandlingShipment Tracking & Follow-upsContainer Movement & TrackingVendor & Carrier ManagementIncotermsDocumentation Knowledge RequiredBill of Entry (BOE)Shipping BillBill of Lading (BL / HBL)Air Waybill (AWB / HAWB)Commercial InvoicePacking ListCertificate of Origin (COO)Import & Export DocumentationCandidate ProfileMinimum 5 years of experience in Freight Forwarding Operations.Strong experience in both Import and Export Operations.Experience handling Air and Sea Freight shipments.Hands-on exposure to documentation, customs coordination, shipping lines, and customer handling.Ability to independently manage shipments from booking to final delivery.Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.Prior experience in Freight Forwarding, International Logistics, NVOCC, or Global Logistics companies preferred.Preferred BackgroundCandidates from Freight Forwarding and International Logistics organizations such as DHL Global Forwarding, DSV, Kuehne Nagel, DB Schenker, Expeditors, CEVA, Yusen Logistics, Jeena & Company, Allcargo, ECU Worldwide, Hellmann, TVS Supply Chain, or similar organizations will be preferred.Important NoteCandidates who have worked only in Documentation, Customs Filing, Customer Service, or Shipment Tracking roles without complete operational ownership may not be suitable for this position.
