Their app store allows small businesses to expand their offerings and digitise business transactionsDescription :- Reporting into the co-founder, the Head - Engineering will own all initiatives to develop & scale products, execute an aggressive road map for product development, institute best engineering practices and deliver innovative products.Some key responsibilities are as below:- Defining a technology road map with organisation & business goals envisioning the tech stack required to scale the business with a long-term technology vision.- Leading & building the Engineering & DevOps team.- Understanding business needs for defining engineering & product building requirements.- Prioritising & scope features closely with the Product team.- Responsibility of back-end, front-end, infrastructure, architecture, scalability & serverside engineering.- Providing inputs, estimates, and plans for product and feature development.- Setting and managing expectations, communicate, and execute goals within timelines.- Monitoring and supporting apps and handle issues that get escalated.- Championing best software engineering practices like design, code reviews etc.- Being a technical mentor - Manage and review the technical contribution of engineers.- Setting up short bursts of hackathons with the team to accelerate ideas to the experimentation stage.Profile :A successful applicant would have the below: - Around 10 years of experience out of which 2+ years of experience in a Product based start-up, previous work experience as a CTO, or Engineering/Technology Head from Platform / Operating System / Market place background.- Prior experience in start-ups (fintech, e-commerce, B2C platforms) is essential.- Experience in rapid adoption of new technologies.- Experience in working on open-source platforms, collaborating with external developers.- Experience in managing software projects right from inception to launch, using agile methodologies, full stack development of web and mobile-based applications, building scalable products and platforms, fully redundant fault-tolerant infrastructure- Knowledge of information security vulnerabilities and risk management is essential.Job Offer- Leadership opportunity with high accountability and visibility- Market leading compensationTo apply online please click the Apply button below.
