The role HSE Assistant Your responsibilities will include: Delivering the project from the stage of detailed design to all phases of construction project to testing and commissioning in complete. Ensuring contractors are made aware of their roles and responsibilities with regard to safe working procedures and comply with safety sustainability policy and procedures. Adhering to all health and safety standards and report issues to the management and ensure compliances of environmental clearance terms of reference and statutory approvals. Implementing the provisions of health and safety manual on the project. Ensuring that all procedures related with safety including emergency plans and procedures are in place for each contract of the project. Conducting HSE training as per training matrix. Performing day to day safety inspection /checks and audits at the works sites and issue NCR for non- conformance and unsafe act. Monitoring closely the safety performance of the contractors. Working with project contractors and drive the safety culture to achieve the safety objectives of the project. Ensuring compliance with quality assurance requirements and compliance of ISO documentation /reports. Managing day- to- day activities, reports, budgeting and optimal capacity utilisation of resources. Observing all unsafe act /conditions and take corrective action accordingly. The requirements Your experience, knowledge and skills need to include: Previous working experience in a similar role. Minimum 5+ years experience is required in the quality field or with engineering consultancies. International project delivery experience is beneficial. Good knowledge in HSE programmes and compliance issues. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Indian languages. Strong negotiation and influencing skills. Good knowledge of IT. Qualifications A degree qualification in environmental, safety or related subject is essential for client approval. A health and safety certification i.e. NEBOSH or IOSH.
