Position Summary:
Remote Monitoring and Management (team) is accountable for all activities associated with development, deployment and life cycle support of technology and systems for Service Assurance suite Platform comprising Smarts, M&R (APG) and NCM applications. This platform monitors network health, performance, and provide root cause analysis for communication service providers. The suite provides visibility and analysis across physical and virtual networks and cloud environments. In this role the responsibility include support of incident management, performance management, change management, RFC development, maintaining application availability and driving systems changes as appropriate for platinum critical application.
Key Areas of Responsibility Creating SMARTS Escalation policies Deploying M&R solution pack to meet business needs SMARTS, M&R and NCM Application staging, installation, setup and device connectivity Work closely with business partners to collect requirements and manage SCRUM backlog L2/L3 support for platinum critical applications Ensure Support SLA compliance for critical tasks Ensure platinum critical application availability Providing Root cause analysis Creating and maintaining RFC s Design, developed in Perl, shell, Powershell and Python Creating Test Cases and executing them Drive continuous improvement initiatives Coordinating with multiple teams on issues Creating and maintaining documentations Provide technical analysis, debugging and problem solving skills Basic Requirements
Solid understanding of networking Hands on experience in EMC SMARTS, APG and NCM application Configuration, enhancement and deployment Experience in supporting business critical OSS/NMS applications. Excellent Experience on SMARTS (SAM, AM/PM, OI, NPM, MPLS Manager, Trap/Syslog adapters, Escalation policies) Excellent Experience on M&R configuration, solution pack and reports Extensively worked on Linux Operating System Extensive scripting experience (Shell, Perl and Powershell) Well Versed with REST API Experienced with SMARTS integration with ServiceNow Through understanding of Network types, protocols and ports Understating of Information Technology Security Best practices Bachelors degree from a four-year college or university, 6 to 9 years of experience in IT Infrastructure/network management Agile SCRUM and Kanban methodology EEO
