Description: We are looking for a versatile & experienced legal professional who shall have the responsibility of helping General Counsel in the UK with the handling of the legal & compliance functions of Engineer. Candidates should have excellent interpersonal skills and a natural flair for associating and connecting with people at all levels of the business. They must have a strong background in commercial legal matters and company secretarial requirements including an expert knowledge base in all areas of regulatory compliance, and it will be expected that the successful candidate will be proactive and diligent at handling a wide range of the company s legal matters in an individual contributor role. A sound knowledge of Corporate Law is a must and candidates should also have a strong desire to become a part of a dynamic and growing team. Why We Need This Role : We have a requirement for an experienced Legal Assistant Manager/ Deputy Manager to add value to the Indian side of our operation, and to ensure that all legal and statutory compliances are met without single fail. Candidates should bring a systematic and disciplined approach to the smooth functioning of legal operations and governance processes within the organization. The successful candidate will possess a thorough knowledge of contract and commercial law in India, ideally, its interaction with international laws. Candidates will be required to review new and existing contracts across a wide range of the business different functions and negotiate modifications where appropriate. Reporting: Candidate would report to the Group Finance Head (at Gurugram) with a dotted line to the General Counsel (located in London). First Six Month Deliverables : Review existing company legal policies and procedures and identify the improvement areas. Help managing the legal & secretarial compliance for the Engineer. AI group. Reviewing and drafting of various legal agreements like MSA s, shareholders agreements, service agreements and Non- disclosure/ Confidentiality Agreements under domestic and international jurisdictions of the Group. Monitor compliance of key provisions contained in various existing agreements with stakeholders. Help manage the Trademark and other IP registrations of the Group. Help manage the Group s claims litigations for infringement of the Group s registered trademarks, patents and other IP Rights. Issuing of debt collection letters to defaulting customers and pursuing claims against those that do not pay. Prepare reports of the key activities undertaken as part of the role. General observance of laws in all functions of the Group. Working knowledge of Income Tax Act, GST is preferred.,
