Job Description

    Designation / Position Need Immediate Joiners-Linux/Unix System Admin ManagerJob DescriptionThe Unix Engineer develops, supports, and deploys stable and cost-effective Unix environments. The Engineer plays a critical role in the installation and monitoring of Unix and Linux operating system and virtual machine sub-system software, as well as the deployment of various Unix server hardware components. Automation is an essential principle the Engineer should use so the team can continue engineering the high performance, scalable solutions that power the business. Role: Devops with Linux skill set (Infrastructure as Code) Responsibilities: Mentor L1 & L2 and L3, Single point of contact to work independently trouble shooting issues and handle major incident bridge Experience Level: 5-8 YearsEssential Job Requirements .Deploys Unix servers and operating systems, including server hardware, virtualization technologies, and Unix/Linux operating systems. .Responsible for the latest IBM Power, Cisco UCS, Dell, and HP equipment (often to their limits), and use virtualization, replication, and clustering to scale and protect the environment. .Develops and improves processing standards, procedures, and automation for use by IT staff in a constantly growing and evolving environment. .Provides technical support and servers as a cross-team technical lead to IT staff during systems designs, developments and deployments. .Deep troubleshooting in an advanced, integrated environment. .Works closely with software vendors and coordinates third-party software installs and evaluates the compliance of installs to the organization standards.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities .Advanced knowledge of Linux and AIX operating systems and hardware including on multiple architectures. .Extensive knowledge and experience with hypervisors and virtualization, such as KVM, PowerVM, and PowerKVM. .Strong experience in Kubernetes, Docker, Container. .Understanding and experience in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) and Infrastructure as Code. .Good Knowledge of DevOps Tools (Ansible, Jenkins, Bitbucket, Artifactory) .Experience integrating tools into pipelines used for Continuous Integration (CI) .Extensive knowledge of Storage Area Networks (SAN)-based servers. .Strong knowledge of multiple scripting languages: Perl, KSH, bash optional. .Experience performing extensive scripting work for automation tasks. .Ability to balance and manage customer needs, daily responsibilities.Keywords Kubernetes, ELK, Ansible Azure, Terraform, which are hands on experience , splunk and kafkaMandatory Key Skills (atleast 1) Linux/Unix System Admin Manager (Ubuntu/Redhat Linux) along with DevOps, Kubernetes Clusters Cloud Exposure (Azure/AWS) Docker Container Orchestration Linux KVM environment Advanced Troubleshooting skills
