Preffered Skills: 1. Experience in Clock testing 2. Good exposure of GNSS, PTP and SyncE Mandatory Skills/ Certification:Experience with timing and synchronization test tools (e.g. Paragon-Neo/X, oscilloscopes)Should have experience onGNSS,PTP, SyncE (timing & synchronization for 4G/5G networks) set-up.Excellent and in-depth understanding of the PTP protocol and Synchronous Ethernet (SYNCE) -Good understanding of PTP packet flow for Timing and synchronization.Understanding of T-GM, T-BC, T-TSC, T-TC mode of operations, and 5G fronthaul timing will be an advantage.ITU-T profiles G.8275.1, G.8275.2, G.8273.3, 1588V2 profiles, Media profiles, and Hybrid profiles are good to have.Understanding of commercial networking test equipment like Paragon-X, Sentinel, Agilent N2X / IXIA / Spirent test equipment.Good exposure of testing and validated different Grandmaster Clock (GMC) Falcon-Rx/Mx (FibroLan), Qg2 (Qulsar), OSA5410/OSA5401 (ADVA/Oscilloquartz), and RAD MiCLK.Good understanding of one or more of: SyncE, BITS E1/T1, GPS, GNSSDemonstrate proficiency in a programming language preferably Python, Perl, or Shell scripts, TCL/TK.Prepared Test plan for IEEE 1588v2/SyncE based 4G/5G based fronthaul & backhaul timing requirements.Successfully validating the CU/DU/RU & gNodeB in lab environment and achieve and qualify Class C/D level accuracyGood expertise with position, navigation, and timing (PNT) technologies and protocols such as GPS, PTP (IEEE 1588), NTP (RFC 5905).Aware on the functionality of other transmission media test equipment (Optical light meter, power meter, Optical Time Domain Reflectometer - OTDR)Basic knowledge of OSI Model, Ethernet technologies with Routing & Switching Protocols will be added advantage.Good knowledge of the TCP/IP and L2 & L3 protocolsKey Responsibilities:1.End to end responsible for synchronization of the network for the green/ brown field deployment.2.Should have a good experience on GNSS, PTP, SyncE (timing & synchronization for 4G/5G networks) set-up and testing3.Do the synchronization planning for the IP and Radio network.4.Good understanding of ITU-T & IEEE standards related to Synchronization & Ethernet/IP based products.5.Work on the Sync plan if there is any party/ partner equipment while deployment in the network.6.Understanding and reviewing the functional specification & test plan and come up with a comprehensive test strategy and test plan based on the feature to be a test.7.Manual testing, reporting defects in features, and working closely with RnD team for development for narrowing down the issue during testing.8.Validate proper delivery of synchronization services in telecom and LTE Advanced/5G wireless networks throughout the synchronization chain from the Telecom Grandmaster (T-GM) to the Telecom Time Slave Clock (T-TSC).9.Easily perform synchronization measurements with workflows and automatic pass/fail verdicts.10.Preparing tender compliance, solution, BOQ and testing scenarios based on the requirement.11.Verify adequate installation and function of GNSS systems from the antenna to the GNSS receiver location.12.Troubleshoot PTP synchronization problems with packet capture and decode.13.Prepared standard Generic Requirement (GR) document and Test Plan for IEEE 1588v2/SyncE based synchronization solution and validated the performance in the field.14.Good exposure of validating and rectifying the Sync quality as per the ITU-T standards.15.Enable accurate measurements meeting ITU-T standards with a highly stable reference clock.16.Performing Sync Audit and Sync Testing (POC) as per ITU-T standards along with the customer team.17.Work with the solution and RnD team for the resolution of any issue which was found at testing site and later close it in discussion with the customer.18.Monthly / Weekly KPI report collection/analysed and discussion with team to ensure Process compliance.
