Job Description

    Designation: Quality AnalystBusiness/Functional Unit: Design Production (Packaging)Reports to: Head of the DepartmentLocation: Remotely/Gurugram, HaryanaRole DescriptionThe role ensures that the proper layout, format, appearance and color of text and images is set before the full print run for Boxes, Labels, Foils, Tetra packs, Pouches, Sleeves, Wrappers, Sachet etc.Responsibilities
    • Understand briefs, layout, package types and design concepts.
    • Using desktop publishing (DTP) software packages like Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign to set out the artwork, images and text to match brief and guidelines.
    • Proofreading and checking the whole document for accuracy, visual impact and adapting range designs.
    • Preparing the item for reproduction in a format specified by the printer,
    • Prepare color-separated trapped files via proper workflows.
    • Generate and output proofs and verify for accuracy.
    • Manage file work across all print processes.
    • Focus on 0% Internal rejection and minimum 98% productivity.
    • Understand how to apply design intentions to files to provide optimal print output and consistency.
    • Understand and apply press specifications to file work.
    • Interact with account managers and clients on an ongoing basis.
    • Understanding and aptitude for minimizing spoilage at all steps from digital file review through production start-up and run.
    • ISO awareness and need to maintain your own performance record based on allocated jobs.
    Competencies
    • Responsibilities include working with and troubleshooting native packaging files, from Adobe Creative Suite, and preparing print-ready color accurate files for print processes.
    • Sound Knowledge of Illustrator, ESKO plugins, Colour Management in Photoshop, File separation, Colour separation, Art-working, and Layout
    • Sound knowledge of print processes: Offset, Flexo, Gravure, Dry offset & Silk Screen.
    • Must pay meticulous attention to detail.
    • Must have broad packaging prepress experience
    • Exceptional troubleshooting and problem-solving skills required.
    Minimum Qualification
    • Degree/ Diploma in Printing & Packaging / Graphics related fields.
    • Knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop is a must and Esko Deskpack knowledge will be an added advantage.
