Regional Operations Head

Job Description

This leadership role is a position in the New Ventures & Exploration business unit and will be based in one of the three field Operating regions (Rajasthan Gujarat Assam East Coast India) of Cairn OALP blocks. The Regional Operations Manager will represent the company for all operational and related stakeholder matters on sites field. He shall act as the administrative head and local face of Cairn Oil & Gas in the particular operating region and shall hold the responsibility of providing support and be the primary enabler for uninterrupted execution of all operations in the field for meeting the Company s business objectives.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Hold the accountability as site administrative head of the operating region of new ventures business unit Oversee the site operations in capacity of the Administrative head and provide stewardship to the New Ventures implementation plans in respective blocks Responsible for developing and leading the entire site based (regional) enabling support teams for seamless, efficient and safe operations Provide site based Operational leadership through the entire lifecycle of operations (SeismicNon Seismic acquisition, Exploration & Appraisal Drilling, early production initiatives) Interface with the integrated execution partners in the region to monitor and support with key enablers for executing the agreed scope and ensure partner compliance to all operational requirements Act as gate keeper for ensuring all statutory, regulatory compliances are in place prior to commencement of any operations Drive the company s senior level representation and regularly attend meetings with the local administration, district and state authorities Represent the company while engaging with stakeholders from all disciplines involved in the New ventures operations Support the company and the leadership in driving siteoperations specific engagements with external stakeholders, including but not limited to site visits Work with the administrative and logistics team to create a framework for managing the local operational interfaces for contactor and company personnel deployment & movement in the operating fields Review site staffing plans to ensure that resources are adequate for business continuity Maintain top focus on ensuring the compliance of HSE framework during operations Lead the site based Emergency Response Team (ERT) and act as bridge between contractors emergency response and Company Emergency Crisis management team (EMTCMT) ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE

Bachelors Masters degree in Engineering (Petroleum, Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical etc.) 20+ years experience in the upstream Oil & Gas industry (Operator, Service provider) in E&P industry operating roles, of which last 3 years Familiarity and knowledge of onshore offshore Oil & Gas industry including Seismic & Non Seismic operations, Exploration & Development Well construction and Production operations Experience and knowledge of regulatory and statutory compliances in operations across Oil & Gas value chain Extensive experience in identifying and managing operations and reputational risks in the O&G industry Ability to manage multiple stakeholders & activities while maintaining focus & priorities Strong technicaloperational acumen Proven experience in interacting across all levels within organization utilizing excellent inter - personal people skills and verbal, written communication skills

Experience in establishing systems, policies and procedures

DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

Diverse experience in the Upstream Oil & Gas industry in areas ProjectsOperations Management, surface crude oil transportation, HSEQ etc. Candidate with experience and knowledge of working in region specific O&G operations (Rajasthan Gujarat Assam East Coast India) will be preferred Ability to handle large amounts of complex information in a detailed and coordinated manner Experience of working with a range of stakeholders Can see the big picture as well as deal with the micro detail Extensive travel within a region and to corporate office in Gurgaon
