Job Description

    Urgent openings -Position- Research chemistExperience- 1 to 3hands-on experience in synthetic organic chemistry.Location- Gurgaon (Manesar)No. of openings- 25Work of mode - Work from OfficeSummary & Scope of Position:Performs a variety of laboratory experiments using established synthetic methods andtechniques under general guidance of project leaders in the medicinal chemistry group. Familiar with a variety of the fields concepts, practices, and procedures and performs a variety of tasks. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. A wide degree of creativity is expected. Scope includes compound discovery and development and synthetic/manufacturing process improvements. Can train and supervise scientific personnel.Primary Responsibilities:
    • Performing multi-step synthesis of the target molecules or intermediates.
    • Designing of synthetic routes for target molecules using newer and innovative synthetic methodologies
    • Purification of compounds, e.g. via chromatography, crystallization etc.
    • Ensuring compliance with applicable safety and regulatory requirements
    • High quality scientific reading/writing
    • Characterization of compounds/intermediates using spectral techniques such as, NMR, MS, IR, HPLC etc.
    • Literature search through Scifinder
    • User experience with ChemDraw, ISIS draw, MS Office.
    • Documenting experiments in LNB and maintain the data.
    • Maintenance and protection of intellectual property (Research schemes, journals, analytical data, material/product safety data sheets etc).
    • Participating as appropriate in the human resources activities of the department
    (Staffing, training, performance management, and employee development).Qualifications/Requirements/Skills:
    • M.Sc. in Organic Chemistry with 1-3 years relevant, hands-on experience in synthetic organic chemistry.
    • Ability to work independently and flexibly and to adapt to changing priorities.
