Job Description

    The Loss Management Researcher is focused on all brands, all products, and all channels of loss and primarily responsible for quantitative and qualitative analysis of records containing loss. In this position, you will do extensive research of records, communicate trending (both systematically and verbally), call out system bugs, make suggestions on process flows that need improvement, and strive to reduce and recover loss through the various work streams. This will require you to extract information and insights from various data sources, tools, and written procedures.What Youll DoYour primary objective will be to tell the who, what, when, why and how story for the errors they reviewUse our department tool to work agent error disputes, making final liability decisionsUse analytical skills to locate gaps in process and technology and communicate suggestions for improvementsEscalate issues and report trends based on your research resultsHelp champion change to reduce or eliminate the error; participation in retail loss focus groupsComplete ad-hoc reporting as necessaryWho You AreHave operational and industry knowledge of all products (air, hotel, car, insurance, destination services)Proficient in industry and Expedia tools, including (GDS) Global Distribution Systems (specifically Amadeus and Sabre), Voyager, Agent Help, ARC/BSP, and Excel. And aptitude to learn new tools quicklyHave extensive knowledge of Expedia processes and tools (Service, Fulfillment and Settlement)Have 2+ years with air experience, specifically airline rules and regulations including but not limited to fare rule interpretation, basic ticketing, ticket exchanges, ticket refunds and Airline initiated schedule changes preferredExcellent written and verbal communication. Ability to leverage and create frameworks to assist with communicating complex problems/ideas to different audiences.Critical thinking and creative problem solving; attention to detail and qualityBe self-motivated and a proactive individual contributor, as well as a team collaboratorMust thrive in fast paced, dynamic environment with multiple competing prioritiesProven performance with a high level of accuracy and productivity in your daily work; the loss journey starts and continues with you,
