Job Description

    Senior Analyst - Proposals Team1. Purpose of the Job - Describe the positions purpose and overall role in the organization/unit/department. Identify major job objectives and initiatives. This summary should generally be 3 to 4 sentences at most and should answer the question Why does this job exist The Senior Analyst, Content Development is responsible for development of accurate, compelling messaging and high quality content for proposals with a focus on Tier 1, complex, and integrated facilities management strategic proposals. The Senior Analyst, Content Development must exhibit strong writing skills to ensure consistency and clarity to meet sales objectives and client needs. This person must ensure all compliance and regulatory restrictions are met. This position maintains high quality standards despite pressing deadlines; always striving to do work right the first time. 2. Primary Duties & Responsibilities - List, in order of importance, specific major duties and responsibilities (no morethan7) and estimate the average percentage of time (annually) spent on each No duty should represent less than 10% and all duties combined must equal 100%.Content Development and Creation :- Provides writing support on large and small scale projects from conception to completion with a focus on Tier 1 and strategic opportunities- Collaborates with design team, account and project managers to ensure a consistent message- Produces original and adapted content that is clear, compelling and credible. Recommends the effective reuse of past materials when appropriate- Ensures all content is consistent in terms of value proposition, style, quality and tone of voice and appropriate messaging for proposals and meets or exceeds the writing objectives set in the creative brief- Adheres to regulatory and compliance regulations- Executes writing requests with accuracy and attention to detail, producing error free work that meets or exceeds content objectives- Codes copy for design features, such as hierarchy of headings, to facilitate the design process- Brainstorms and strategizes with creative team to help develop content with a focus on the messaging and voice- Reviews and implements client changes and edits, and responds with schedule/cost impacts along with alternatives- Converts information gathered from a variety of sources into usable content- Produces content within the creative brief criteria, but also explores new interpretations and develops out-of-the-box messaging to strengthen the overall impact- Actively participates in the ideation process leveraging research, analytics and brand insights 35%Industry Knowledge :- Researches clients and their target audience to support creative messaging and keeps abreast of business challenges and competitor strategies- Leverages market data to develop content- Understands company brands, objectives and initiatives- Understands and conveys competitive and strategic data 30%Teamwork :- Works to improve the teams overall performance and embraces a collaborative approach- Supports peers by reviewing work to ensure zero errors in work- Supports leadership in helping to build a unified team mind set- Engages in professional development to continuously grow in profession and remain current 10%- Shares interim work with Content Manager for senior direction and insightsClient Service :- Reviews project briefs generated by sales through the intake process for overall quality and accuracy. Minimum Qualifications - Identify the minimum education, experience and skills to competently perform the job. List any language(s), software or registrations required to perform this job. Please describe the typical writing, speaking and presentation skills required for this job and identify the audience. - Bachelors degree/PG required; preferably in journalism, communications, English or related field- Minimum of five years professional experience required with experience in developing content for proposals, marketing or sales use preferred- Fluency in French and/or Spanish a plus- Strong written communication skills required- Adept at embracing brand voice and tone, and deploying consistently- Demonstrates proficient expertise in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat- Proficiency with AP and/or company style guide standards- Understands writing applications in traditional and emerging channels- Maintains a consistent voice and audience focus in writing- Is able to distil verbose content to the essence of the main message in a concise, effective manner- Exhibits consistent quality control in work- Exhibits an understanding of specific channels or vertical markets as required by job function- Demonstrated ability to adapt style of content to various audiences, purposes, or media- Experience working within legal and compliance parameters4.
