Ciena makes your social / entertainment / business existence REAL.POSITION SUMMARY: The Indirect Tax Associate will manage Global indirect tax compliances with the help from SAS application for the generation of VAT returns and supplementary reports. The associate will be responsible for effective coordination with external 3rd party, internal teams & various VAT authorities for managing effective process of Indirect Tax Compliances.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure tax compliance are made in timely manner by Filling Periodic Indirect Tax Returns for Countries in EMEA, APJ & INDIA region.
  • Managing Indirect Tax Payments & filing of Refunds with Tax authorities
  • Periodic Indirect Tax reconciliation
  • Coordination with Auditors for providing information as required for various audits
  • Coordinate with other internal departments to get the data
  • Prepare and submit reply to queries related to Indirect taxes
  • Coordination with various Tax Authorities
  • Take responsibility for proper tax filing and tax document retention in relation to the indirect tax compliance matters
Responding to various notices and coordinating with Tax authorities Compiling the indirect tax related data required for Group reporting Responsible for SOX compliances. Protects organizations value by keeping information confidential.Abilities and Skills:Comprehensive knowledge of:
  • Indirect Tax compliance for global jurisdictions.
  • Strong communication and Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Accounting knowledge and experience in Oracle R12 & Excel is preferable
  • Experience on OneSource Tax compliance application is preferable
