Job Description

    Develop, obtain approval of and implement a strategic plan for domestic and export sales and marketing activities. Achieve sales volumes, price premia, market share and market segment volumes in accordance with an agreed marketing plan. Lead the development of new applications and the growth in Customer base. Direct the continuous improvement of profitability via the constant assessment of customer and product portfolios. Devise pricing tactics within specified guidelines, in order to maximize the product premia and the return to the shareholders. Create an effective Marketing Information System: Markets, Customers, Competition Lead the supply chain side of the business to ensure customer demands are met and capacity utilization is maximized. Manage a competent and effective staff by selecting, motivating and developing personnel in accordance with MPLs personnel policies and ensuring all direct reports execute their mandates within the framework of the agreed strategy. Establish close relationships with key personnel at major accounts. Control sales, general and administrative expenses within the agreed budget; ensure customer overdue accounts are kept to a minimum. keep a close watch on all staff & contractual manpower on their health parameter on daily basis related to Covid 19. JOB RELEVANT SKILLS: Good knowledge of PCMA and Polymer Demonstrated management skills and experience. Understands market trends, MPLs position in the market and industry drivers. Understands customer needs in terms of products, technologies, and services and has strong customer interactive skills. Demonstrated skills in compounding, its products and applications. Shows strong negotiating skills, demonstrates courage, adaptability, and decisiveness in critical situations Able to plan medium term (4 24 months). Thinks things through carefully before starting; makes predictions which are data driven and plans projects accordingly. Anticipates by thinking ahead, foreseeing new opportunities. Strong communication skills, external as well as internal; ability to co-ordinate with other departments; strong team worker; ensures that knowledge is reported, shared, archived and protected. Competent in MS Office suite of products Demonstrates high standards for professionalism, responsibility and ethics EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Bachelors Degree in Plastic Processing Minimum 15 years of Marketing of similar product
