The Supply Chain Manager is normally responsible for managing and coordinating purchasing, warehousing, logistics and transport services for an organisation. In some organisations, this also covers the provision of support with setting up and managing contracts with external suppliers and vendors. Within the oil and gas industry this is a complex role involving the transport of goods and materials to remote locations, particularly offshore production installations. Safety is a key priority to ensure that all activities are carried out in a safe and efficient manner.Typical dutiesManages the procurement, transport, storage and or processing of stock and inventory items Plans and organises the transfer of goods and materials from suppliers Plans delivery timetables with other all functions and departments Monitors stock levels and re-orders new stock as appropriate Tracks the movement of goods through depots or warehouses Oversees the ordering and packaging process Oversees the arrival of shipments Manages a team of staff covering procurement administration, transport and warehousing Monitors performance and ensures targets are met Examines existing procedures or opportunities for streamlining activities to reduce operating costs and improve transport and distribution needs Participates as part of the office-based emergency response team in the event of an emergency situation Reports any breaches of safety procedures to supervision / management Actively participates in and promotes company health and safety campaigns, policies and procedures, and ensures personal safety and that of colleagues at all timesIf youre interested, Kindly forward your Cv to:-hotvacancy077@gmail.com
