Expeditors is seeking a Tax Provision Specialist to join its Global Tax Team. This position will review/assist/liaise with worldwide Expeditors employees in their preparation of current and deferred income tax provisions under U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, tax return to tax provision reconciliations, other elements of the Tax Cut and Jobs Act as it applies to our foreign subsidiaries, and assist in income tax research analysis as needed. This position will report directly to corporate headquarters, but will be based remotely in India.
QualificationsBachelors degree in accounting, finance, or related field required. Advance degree or Certification as a CPA preferred.
Minimum five years of relevant experience in Public Accounting and/or industry.
Technically proficient and have strong accounting, analytical, financial modeling and research skills.
Must have interpersonal skills to communicate with experienced non- tax professionals.
Strong tax provision experience.
Strong project management and organization skills.
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
Proficient in MS Office applications (specifically Excel), electronic tax compliance systems (preferably, CorpTax), and financial query tools (preferably, Hyperion Financial).
