The Role and Accountabilities:

  • Configuration & Testing of circuits over Colt s SDH / PDH / DWDM / OTN / MSP / M MSP / ATM / DSLAM Networks , against customer contracts within target-timelines.
  • Co-ordinate with filed engineers for E2E testing of the services , during this tasks he will be required to perform continuity test , loop test , switching test , insertion of network elements , removal of network elements from the management server.
  • Ensure KPI conformance > 98%.
  • Maintain a high quality of output and ensure completion of tasks with a target of zero errors.
  • Real time closure of Order Handling System & XTRAC (workflow tools) tasks.
  • Real time updating of Network Management Systems.
  • Interfacing with peer groups within SB&T teams.

    • What you will need to succeed

  • The ideal candidate with 6-11 years of relevant industry experience in provisioning/planning / installations & commissioning / testing / NOC environment (on PDH / SDH , DWDM , OTN , ATM , EoSDH) , and having practical experience of Bandwidth provisioning and testing . Knowledge on OTN , MSP & NGN technologies will be preferred.
  • Good knowledge of Transmission , Fiber Optics , PDH / SDH / OTN / DWDM / Ethernet / EoSDH / EoMSP / ATM principles.
  • Experience in provisioning / planning / installations & commissioning / testing / NOC environment (on PDH / SDH , DWDM , ATM , EoSDH)
  • Good knowledge on various testers (like SUNRISE , ACTERNA , ANT-5 , ANT-20 etc.) used for testing of transmission links.
  • Good knowledge of various interface used to deliver Data , Voice and IP based circuits on transmission network.
  • Knowledge of LAN principles and practices
  • Excellent customer facing skills
  • Good time management skills
  • Good working knowledge on MS Office (Word , PPT & Excel) and other tools used for day 2 day administrative tasks.
