Job Description

    Dear Candidate,Were Hiring for Tools Management Professional.Roles & Responsibilities :-Responsible for service & infrastructure monitoring tools strategy, delivery, support and evolution.What Ill be doing your accountabilities
    • Support the Tools & Systems Manager in the setup and running of TCAP Tools & Systems from greenfield to stable and high performing function:
    • Establish organisational objectives and responsibilities.
    • Achieve organisational objectives and financial performance.
    • Take initiative to keep own skills up to date and to maintain an awareness of developments in TCAP scope
    • Provide Tools & Systems Management capabilities:
    • Responsible for the deployment, enhancement and optimisation of the suite of network management tools being used to operate the service.
    • Support the development and maintenance of the strategy and road map for service & infrastructure monitoring tools
    • Work with stakeholders from Nationwide and BT to identify and clarify requirements for service & infrastructure monitoring tools - covers both new and existing tools
    • Support strategic tool investigations/development and new enquiries in coordination with Nationwide and BTs CTO for the Spring contract. Work with BTs internal teams to champion Nationwides requirements
    • Maintain technical blueprints and standards associated with design, deployment and operation of the service & infrastructure monitoring tools
    • Use appropriate tools, including logical models of components and interfaces, to contribute to the development of service & infrastructure monitoring tools architectures.
    • Produce detailed component specifications / technical blueprints and translates these into detailed designs for implementation using selected products.
    • Within a change programme, assists in the preparation of technical plans and cooperates with business assurance and project staff to ensure that appropriate technical resources are made available.
    • Within a change programme, manages the target design, policies and standards, working proactively to maintain a stable, viable architecture and ensure consistency of design across projects within the programme.
    • Provides advice on technical aspects of system development and integration (including requests for changes, deviations from specifications, etc.) and ensures that relevant technical strategies, policies, standards and practices are applied correctly.
    • Maintain the balance between functional, service quality and systems management requirements within service & infrastructure monitoring tools.
    • Ensures that appropriate Nationwide and BT standards are adhered to.
    • Contribute to the Tools & Systems management process and its operation and perform defined Tools & Systems management tasks.
    • Maintain the policy and standards for Tools & Systems management
    • Review new business proposals and provide specialist advice on tools/systems issues.
    • Work with Nationwide stakeholders to agree prioritisation of tools/systems and TCAP deliverables associated with specific tools/systems
    • Identify opportunities for automation to reduce cost or reduce error rates.
    • Provide a range of Network/IT tools/systems reporting to ensure that agreed levels are measured and monitored on an ongoing basis
    • Conduct problem risk assessment for existing services.
    • Accountable for all risks owned by Tools & Systems Management.
    • Carries out risk assessment within a defined functional or technical area of business.
    • Uses consistent processes for identifying potential risk events, quantifying and documenting the probability of occurrence and the impact on the business.
    • Support the development of mitigations and contingency plans.
    • Refers to domain experts for guidance on specialised areas of risk, such as architecture and environment.
    • Ensures a robust line of sight and auditable trail between raw data and published end results.
    • Collaborates and attends meetings with Nationwide, the SI and ecosystem partners regarding the cross functional TCAP and application aware approach.
    • Support client facing reviews of Tools & Systems Management outcomes.
