Job Description

Job DescriptionRoles & Responsibilities

  • Looking for Associate Data Scientist / Data Scientist with expertise in machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing, text analytics.
  • To be able to develop robust, scalable and maintainable machine learning models to answer business problems against large data sets
  • Self-motivated and driven to satisfy intellectual curiosity through the pursuit of learning and development of new skills.
  • Experience working with some of the algorithms such as linear/logistic regression, K means/Hierarchal clustering, Ridge/Lasso regression, support vector machines (SVM), decision trees, Random Forest, Nave Bayes, ANN, CNN, RNN
  • The ideal candidate will have wide coverage of the different methods/models, and in-depth knowledge of some.
  • Knowledge of Natural Language Processing (NLP) techniques (POS Tagging, NER, Semantic Role Labelling, etc.), word embeddings, Word2vec models, topic modeling, TF-IDF, LSI, etc is a must.
  • Knowledge of data engineering aspect for running code on bigger data in an optimized way
  • Utilize statistical natural language processing to mine unstructured data, and create insights:
  • Perform elements of data cleaning, feature selection, and feature engineering and organize experiments in conjunction with best practices.
  • Creating dynamic decision-making processes and trying to predict future events from the historical data
  • Benchmark, apply, and test algorithms against success metrics. Interpret the results in terms of relating those metrics to the business process
  • Visualize data to tell compelling stories
Requirements
  • Tech / M.Tech (Any stream) or Post Grad. In Mathematics/statistics/economics from premier college/university
  • 4-8 years of engineering, data science, machine learning or modeling experience
  • Excellent in python coding skills (7+ on a scale of 10)
  • Must have worked on unstructured data(text especially) and applied various NLP techniques to derive insights from the data
  • Stay updated on trends in NLP, with a focus on information extraction, textual inference, question answering, and multi-document summarization.
  • Demonstrated track record of working with high-performing data science teams.
  • Excellent communicator and ability to explain analytical projects to business stakeholders in a non-technical language
  • Working in a team environment and helping colleagues succeed (peers/reports/managers)
