Job Description

A Water Pump Truck Operator drives heavy-duty commercial vehicles to manage, transfer, and pump industrial fluids between job sites and infrastructure. This highly physical and technical role is essential in sectors like energy extraction and civil waste management, typically requiring heavy vehicle licenses and field safety compliance.Core ResponsibilitiesFluid Transfer: Connect and disconnect hoses from industrial production tanks, pipelines, and pumping units to efficiently load/unload water and fluids.Equipment Monitoring: Operate, monitor, and adjust pumps, flow meters, pressure gauges, and valves to maintain optimal flow rates.Maintenance & Repair: Perform routine maintenance on vehicles and equipment (e.g., lubricating components, fixing worn bearings, and checking motorsData Logging: Accurately log operational data, monitor fluid levels, and utilize specialized tracking software (like CNX) to communicate fluid movements to dispatch.Safety & Compliance: Conduct job safety evaluations, ensure environmental mitigation, and comply strictly with Department of Transportation (DOT) and OSHA regulations.
