Electrical Project ManagerRole & responsibilities :1. Project Planning & CoordinationDevelop comprehensive project execution plans, including scope definition, WBS, milestones, manpower planning, and deployment schedulesPrepare and monitor detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 / MS ProjectCoordinate with engineering, procurement, construction, QA/QC, and HSE teams to ensure seamless executionTrack progress against baseline schedules and budgets; identify risks and implement mitigation strategiesLead weekly/monthly review meetings and prepare progress reports for management and clientsManage change management, claims, and variation orders2. Supply Chain & Procurement ManagementPlan and manage end-to-end supply chain activities for electrical equipment and materialsCoordinate procurement of:Transformers, Switchgear, RMUsMV/LV cables, conductors, poles, insulators, structure materialsProtection & metering systemsEnsure timely material availability aligned with project schedulesEvaluate and manage vendors, OEMs, logistics partners, and subcontractorsMonitor cost control, inventory, customs clearance, and international logistics (Africa import/export exposure preferred)Ensure compliance with technical specifications, quality standards, and contractual terms3. Tendering & Pre-Contract SupportSupport tendering and bidding activities for power distribution projects in AfricaReview tender documents, technical specifications, BOQs, and contract conditionsProvide technical inputs, execution strategy, timelines, and cost estimatesCoordinate with estimation, engineering, and commercial teams during bid preparationParticipate in pre-bid meetings, technical clarifications, and negotiationsAssist in risk assessment and feasibility analysis for new bids4. Technical & Execution ManagementOversee execution of:MV/LV distribution networks (11kV / 33kV / 66kV)Primary & secondary substationsOverhead & underground distribution linesEnsure compliance with IEC / IEEE/ NFC standards and local utility regulationsReview and approve design drawings, method statements, and work proceduresEnsure adherence to HSE standards, especially in remote African project sites5. Client & Stakeholder ManagementAct as the primary interface with clients, utilities, consultants, and local authoritiesManage cross-cultural teams and local subcontractorsEnsure client satisfaction through transparent communication and timely delivery6.
