Job Description

    Job Summary:As a Sales Engineer, your role will be to promote and sell a wide range of capital equipment to customers, including screw air compressors, color sorters, fortified rice plants, X-Ray machines, metal detectors, check-weighers, and other equipment used in rice, dal, besan, and flour factories. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining customer relationships, identifying sales opportunities, and achieving sales targets. This position requires technical knowledge, strong sales skills, and a customer-focused approach.Responsibilities:
    1. Sales and Business Development:
    • Identify potential customers within the rice, dal, besan, and flour industry.
    • Generate leads through various channels, including cold calling, referrals, and networking.
    • Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to showcase the features and benefits of the capital equipment.
    • Understand customer requirements and provide customized solutions based on their specific needs.
    • Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to secure sales agreements.
    1. Relationship Building:
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, understanding their business objectives and challenges.
    • Provide exceptional customer service and support throughout the sales process.
    • Address customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a timely and professional manner.
    • Collaborate with other teams, such as technical support and customer service, to ensure customer satisfaction.
    1. Technical Expertise:
    • Develop a deep understanding of the capital equipment offered by NIC, including screw air compressors, color sorters, fortified rice plants, X-Ray machines, metal detectors, check-weighers, and related equipment.
    • Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and competitive products.
    • Provide technical guidance and support to customers, helping them choose the right equipment for their specific requirements.
    1. Sales Forecasting and Reporting:
    • Prepare accurate sales forecasts, reports, and pipelines.
    • Track sales performance against targets and take proactive measures to achieve or exceed sales goals.
    • Provide regular updates and insights to the sales management team.
    1. Product Knowledge and Training:
    • Continuously enhance product knowledge and stay up-to-date with the features, specifications, and applications of the capital equipment.
    • Conduct product training sessions for customers and internal sales teams.
    • Share product updates and insights with customers to maximize their understanding and utilization of the equipment.
    1. Market Analysis:
    • Stay informed about the rice, dal, besan, and flour industry, including market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs.
    • Conduct market research to identify potential sales opportunities and target markets.
    REQUIREMENTS:
    • Bachelors degree or diploma in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical or a related field.)
    • Proven experience in capital equipment sales, preferably in the rice, dal, besan, or flour industry.
    • Strong technical aptitude and the ability to understand and explain complex equipment.
    • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
    • Customer-oriented mindset with a focus on building strong relationships.
    • Results-driven with a track record of achieving sales targets.
    • Willingness to travel to customer sites as required.
