Job Description

    Job Title: Branch Manager (LAP)Department: Loan Approval Process (LAP)Location: KarimnagarReports To:Cluster / Area ManagerJob Summary:The Branch Manager (LAP) is responsible for the overall management, performance, and profitability of the branch. This role involves overseeing the loan approval process, managing customer relationships, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations, and leading a team of officers and staff. The Branch Manager must deliver excellent service, maintain operational efficiency, and meet branch targets related to loan approval, customer acquisition, and business development.Key Responsibilities:
    1. Loan Process Management:
      • Supervise the Loan Approval Process (LAP) for personal, business, or mortgage loans.
      • Ensure timely and accurate evaluation of loan applications, including verification of documents and compliance with internal and external guidelines.
      • Review and approve/reject loans as per company policy and regulatory requirements.
      • Liaise with the underwriting and risk assessment teams to ensure loan assessments are thorough.
    2. Branch Operations:
      • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the branch, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning.
      • Implement and monitor branch policies and procedures to ensure quality service delivery.
      • Maintain branch security and ensure the safety of customers, staff, and assets.
    3. Team Management:
      • Lead, manage, and motivate branch staff to achieve individual and team targets.
      • Ensure proper training and development for staff to enhance their knowledge of the loan approval process and customer service skills.
      • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to improve efficiency and performance.
    4. Customer Service & Relationship Management:
      • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, addressing their loan inquiries and resolving complaints effectively.
      • Ensure that customers are well-informed about loan options, terms, and conditions.
      • Act as a liaison between the branch and customers to foster trust and long-term relationships.
    5. Sales & Business Development:
      • Drive branch sales performance by actively engaging with customers and promoting loan products.
      • Meet and exceed branch business development targets by identifying potential clients and exploring new market segments.
      • Prepare marketing strategies and promotions to increase customer acquisition.
    6. Compliance & Risk Management:
      • Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and local regulations related to loan approval and disbursement.
      • Monitor and manage risks related to loan defaults and ensure adherence to anti-money laundering (AML) and Know Your Customer (KYC) regulations.
      • Ensure proper documentation and reporting for audits and regulatory reviews.
    7. Financial & Performance Reporting:
      • Track and report the financial performance of the branch, including loan disbursement, recovery, and profitability metrics.
      • Prepare and submit regular reports to the senior management on branch performance, loan portfolio health, and customer service feedback.
    8. Branch Administration:
      • Manage the administrative functions of the branch, including scheduling, budgeting, and supply management.
      • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, loan applications, and financial transactions.
    Qualifications:
    • Education:
      • Any Bachelors degree
    • Experience:
      • Minimum of 5 years of experience in banking, finance, or loan processing, with at least 2 years in a managerial or leadership role.
      • In-depth knowledge of loan approval processes, underwriting, and risk management.
    • Skills:
      • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
      • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
      • Proficiency in loan management software and MS Office Suite.
      • Understanding of local financial regulations and compliance standards.
      • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
    • Certifications (Optional but Preferred):
      • Certified Loan Officer or related financial certifications.
