Job Description

    DLPLocation-Pan IndiaGrade-P2/P3/P4NP-30 daysJob Overview:We are seeking a skilled Data Loss Prevention (DLP) Specialist to join our Information Security team. The DLP Specialist will be responsible for implementing, monitoring, and maintaining data protection solutions to safeguard sensitive data across all platforms, including endpoints, network, and cloud environments. You will play a key role in preventing unauthorized access, leakage, or loss of critical information, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, and enhancing the overall security posture of our organization.Key Responsibilities:
    • DLP Policy Implementation & Management:
      • Design, implement, and manage data loss prevention policies to protect sensitive data across all systems (network, endpoint, cloud, and storage).
      • Regularly review and update DLP policies in accordance with organizational needs, compliance requirements, and emerging security threats.
    • Monitoring & Incident Response:
      • Continuously monitor data flows, endpoint activities, and network traffic for potential data leakage, policy violations, or other security incidents.
      • Investigate DLP alerts and take corrective actions in response to identified incidents, working closely with other IT security teams to contain and remediate threats.
    • Risk Assessment & Vulnerability Management:
      • Conduct regular risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities related to sensitive data storage and transfer.
      • Collaborate with IT teams to ensure data protection measures are implemented in line with the organizations risk management framework.
    • Reporting & Compliance:
      • Generate reports on DLP activities, including data incidents, policy violations, and overall system health, for management review.
      • Ensure that data protection efforts meet compliance requirements for industry regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, CCPA).
    • User Education & Training:
      • Educate employees on data security best practices and the importance of adhering to data protection policies.
      • Provide training sessions and resources to raise awareness about data loss risks and how to prevent them.
    • Collaboration & Integration:
      • Work closely with the IT, compliance, legal, and risk management teams to ensure DLP solutions align with broader organizational security initiatives.
      • Integrate DLP tools with other security systems (e.g., SIEM, firewalls, endpoint protection) for enhanced visibility and control.
    • Continuous Improvement:
      • Stay up to date with the latest trends, tools, and technologies in data loss prevention and information security.
      • Recommend and implement improvements to DLP processes and tools to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
    Qualifications:
    • Education:
      • Bachelors degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, or CompTIA Security) are a plus.
    • Experience:
      • 3 years of experience in information security, with a focus on data loss prevention or data protection technologies.
      • Experience working with DLP tools (e.g., Symantec DLP, Forcepoint, Digital Guardian, McAfee DLP) is strongly preferred.
      • Knowledge of security frameworks and regulatory standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS).
    • Technical Skills:
      • Hands-on experience with DLP solutions, network security, endpoint protection, and data encryption.
      • Proficiency in analyzing data security incidents, including data breach analysis and forensics.
      • Familiarity with SIEM systems and their integration with DLP solutions.
      • Understanding of cloud security principles and cloud data protection (e.g., AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud).
    • Soft Skills:
      • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for identifying potential data leakage risks.
      • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
      • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
