The Cashier is responsible for handling transactions, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring accurate cash management at the point of sale. • Process customer purchases, returns, and exchanges accurately.
• Handle cash, credit/debit cards, and digital payments securely.
• Provide receipts and ensure proper bagging of purchased items.
• Greet customers and assist with inquiries about products, pricing, and promotions.
• Maintain an organized and clean checkout area.
• Balance the cash register and report discrepancies to the supervisor.
• Follow store policies and security procedures to prevent fraud or loss.
• Assist in stocking shelves and organizing displays when needed.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Provide a friendly and efficient checkout experience to enhance customer satisfaction.
Qualifications and Skills:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a cashier or customer service role is a plus.
• Basic math skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in using POS (Point of Sale) systems and handling cash transactions.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle high-volume transactions.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Work Environment:

• Requires standing for long periods and handling cash transactions throughout the shift.
