  • Support the INM OI team with implementing key sales initiatives to help grow Overseas India (O/I) customer base and service model to deliver the business objectives.This is a key business development role focusing on building relationships with the internal and external stakeholders, with the objective of offering HSBCs retail banking and wealth management (RBWM) products to our O/I customers.
  • Source OI NTBs from the new & existing corporate base and deliver on meeting OI NTB targets as per the broader AOP in line with Country Plan.
  • Identify, prospect and on board new GCEPs/Education and Immigration Consultants which ensure the OI NTB acquisitions.
  • Initiate work with Branch Network, MSF CEP teams, Global Corporates and other verticals towards generating Overseas Referrals to priority corridors outside INM. Eg. UK/Canada/MENAT/SG& HK.
  • Ensure the KYC/AML norms of the bank are complied with at all times.
  • Execute marketing events and promotions to generate business in NRI/OI catchments, in conjunction with support departments such as INM Marketing
  • To work with Global Education Institutes/ Organizations in order to tap the International Students/Parents for pitching OI proposition ultimately for growing the OI Book.
  • Support the execution and management of the new external/and or existing partnerships to help grow the NTBs for the O/I business.
  • Promote HSBC RBWM OI propositions in Global Banking & Markets/CMB/BB internally and externally
  • Build and develop a working platform for prospect companies both inside & outside of HSBC customer portfolio.
  • Produce, manage and share with internal stakeholders the local MI to develop a global client knowledge understanding
  • Maintainstrong, effective and successful collaborations with team members within the INM business to represent an aligned approach to help grow the focused customer base.
  • Ensure that the activities performed are within the regulatory boundaries in INM and priority markets(UK, Canada, MENAT, Singapore, HK, USA and Australia) andgroup cross border framework. You will therefore actas the in-market SME for all relevant x-border local matters such as Cross Border manual, product offering in etc
Role Dimensions:Although the jobholder will be a single contributor and will be expected to exert significant influence over the local RBWM branches, Premier teams and IBC to drive Premier O/I recruitment and display a strong understanding of the O/I proposition.Role Context:
  • Support the INM OI Team to drive the OI business to achieve their AOP.
  • The role holder will be responsible for driving Events/ Projects in response to market changes and opportunities and in line with HSBC Group strategy and manage the regulatory complexity.
  • The O/Isegment is extremely competitive, therefore the individual will need strong product and process knowledge to help attract quality referrals
Requirements Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Bachelors degree in business, finance, related field or equivalent experience.
  • 6-8years in Retail/NRI banking sales experience or equivalent i.e. Business Development role
  • Strong experience, knowledge and understanding of theOverseas Indian proposition including international account opening and referral process.
  • Excellent track record of delivering business targets, meeting customer needs and improving customer satisfaction.
  • Strategic and analytical thinking, excellent communication, negotiation, problem solving, interpersonal and presentation skills, including ability to produce timely and accurate MI.
  • Able to work independently with limited supervision and guidance.
  • Good knowledge of financial services industry and ability to understand and negotiate through the HSBC internal network, global economics and financial services.
  • Good understanding of credit, risk and cross boarder compliance policy and procedures.
