Responsible for developing, applying, and maintaining quality standards for company products with adherence to both internal and external standards. Develops and executes software test plans. Analyzes and writes test standards and procedures. Maintains documentation of test results. Analyzes test results and recommends corrective actions. Summary Description: The candidate will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive suites of automation test plans and test cases, maintaining and adding to existing automation framework, continued evaluation of test cases for inclusion in regression, automation for newly integrated features, and development of toolsets to augment QA and Development testing. The Automation Engineer will also work closely with Software Developers and other QA engineers in small teams to deliver the highest quality products in a timely and cost-effective manner. Education: Graduate or Post graduate in Computer Science or related field. Experience: 2-9 years of experience as an Automation Engineer in a test environment Responsibilities: This role will be responsible for, but not be limited to, the following: . Automate manual test cases created. . Identify defects, issues and risks within the software system. . Work closely and proactively with the Development, Automation and Product teams to determine the best way to increase the quality of the product . Provide guidance to the team members . Identify / Suggest / Implement enhancements to the Automation Framework, Processes & Best Practices Requirements: . Understanding of Agile Methodology and other software development methodologies . Highly Proficient in Java . Experienced in maven, Jenkins, Selenium GRID . Strong understanding of objectoriented design, data structures and algorithms . Ability to develop & maintain Selenium automation solutions using Java . Experience with test automation frameworks . Experience with testing web-based applications . Experience in creating and maintaining automation tests (integration, regression, performance, etc.) . Experience with source code repositories (subversion, etc.) is desirable. . Proficient in Windows and Linux/Unix environments . Ability to work independently. . Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities. . As a member of the technical/process QA division, you will develop quality standards, control methods and theories to be utilized during manufacturing, testing and inspection to access product quality. Develop standards and procedures to provide quality guidance methods. Duties and tasks are varied and complex needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 4 years of software engineering or related experience.
