By marrying robust content, intuitive applications, and innovative technology, we defend and grow our footprint across several key user classes including investment banking, sell-side research, buy-side research, private equity, portfolio managers, traders, capital markets, investor relations, and media. This SBU contains Core Applications (Universal Screening, Company & Security Analytics, Industry and Markets, Filings, Ownership, Research, News, Charting) and our industry leading RMS suite. The SBU closely partners with the Content and Platform Horizontals on strategy for FactSet Web, Mobile, and much of FactSets content offering.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Translate application storyboards and use cases into functional applications.
• Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code.
• Participate in multiple projects across the full product stack (front end, server code, and database).
• Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
• Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to mitigate and address these issues.
• Collaborate with internal teams to produce software design and architecture.
• Write clean, scalable code using JavaScript and .NET programming languages.
• Revise, update, refactor and debug code.
• Improve existing software.
• Serve as an expert on applications and provide technical support.
• Collaborate with project stakeholders to understand and prioritize their needs.
• Mentor and coach other members of the team.

REQUIRED SKILLS

• B.Tech or M.Tech in Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of software engineering experience in building multi-tier web applications or websites.
• Professional Experience with C# .NET, Web API, SQL, and strong understanding of Object-oriented programing.
• Professional Experience with Node.js, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and a modern web framework such as Angular or Vue.
• Testing frameworks such as NUnit, xUnit, MSTest, Jest.

• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools like Git and continuous integration tool like Jenkins.
• Sound knowledge of SOLID principals and design patterns is desirable.
• Ability to articulate and quickly adopt development best practices.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Willingness to work as a member of a team, including participating in peer code reviews and maintaining project and operational documentation.

HIGHLY DESIRED SKILLS

• .NET Core
• Experience with scripting languages like TypeScript.
• Experience with Vue.js or similar UI framework.
• Dependency management tools like Yarn, NuGet etc.
• Having exposure to running applications in the cloud preferably AWS.
• Experience with AWS services e.g., EC2, ECS, Lambda.
• Profiling and performance tuning techniques throughout the stack.
• Experience interacting with clients.
• Comfortable working with geographically diverse team.
• Ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical people.
