Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities
• Guiding, monitoring and controlling kitchen staff
• Training and supervising cooks/chefs/waiters/helpers and the school Mess team in general
• Creating and managing the work schedule and staff rotation along with the Mess Supervisor
• Responsible to maintain the highest standards of health, hygiene and sanitation with regard to staff and the kitchen/dining area.
• Ensuring that all statutory safety and sanitary precautions and provisions are adhered to, to ensure a safe and clean environment
• Preparing SOPs to achieve this and monitoring the same
• Understand the use of and ensure that all kitchen equipment and appliances are in working order and be able to troubleshoot
• Creative menu planning and overseeing the preparation and presentation of food
• Work along with the school management to design and prepare a proper dietary plan for students of different ages.
• Making sure all the food that leaves the kitchen is of the best quality
