Fabrication Quality Engineer

Job Description

Attend vehicle-level joint investigations across India to identify root causes of concerns.Drive vehicles and possess knowledge of vehicle systems, including chassis, suspension, steering, and wheel ends.Resolve internal concerns related to DAC and perform data analysis.Monitor field complaints daily and generate Field Concern MIS reports for higher management.Take appropriate actions to close emerging concerns and immobilization concerns.Analyze failed parts and implement corrective actions to reduce field failures and warranty costs.Job RequirementsBachelors degree in Mechanical, Production, Automobile, Mechatronics, or a related field.Minimum 2 years of experience in Automotive Quality, focusing on product testing, component design, and manufacturing technology.Possess strong knowledge of quality control tools, auditing, benchmarking, and process knowledge.Demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills using tools such as 8D methodology and systematic root cause analysis.Be proficient in Excel and PowerPoint presentations, with good data management and interpretation skills.Experience with computer-aided design (CAD) and manufacturing technology is required.Self-motivated and able to lead cross-functional teams (CFT).Willing to work with own hands and travel across the country at short notice for joint investigations.Good understanding of DAC systems like Chassis, Suspension, Steering & Wheel Ends.Good understanding of vehicle level interface of DAC systems.Good understanding of manufacturing processes like fabrication, sheet metal, machining, etc.Conversant with Shining DOE technique, preparation of Fault Tree for Analysis, Ishikawa diagram, and statistical tools.Knowledge of Basic 7 QC & Advanced QC Tools.Understanding of engineering drawings, process flow diagrams, control plans, etc.Good at data management and interpreting data to draw meaningful conclusions.
