Job Description

The Fire & Safety Supervisor is responsible for overseeing fire prevention and safety measures within an organization. This role ensures compliance with fire safety regulations, conducts risk assessments, implements emergency response plans, and provides training to employees on fire prevention and emergency procedures. The Fire & Safety Supervisor works closely with management and safety teams to create a safe working environment.Key Responsibilities:
• Develop, implement, and maintain fire safety policies and procedures.
• Conduct regular fire risk assessments and safety inspections.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal fire safety regulations.
• Monitor and maintain fire detection and suppression systems, including alarms, extinguishers, and sprinkler systems.
• Develop and oversee emergency response plans and fire drills.
• Provide training to employees on fire prevention, emergency evacuation, and use of firefighting equipment.
• Investigate fire incidents and safety violations, recommending corrective actions.
• Collaborate with local fire departments and emergency response teams.
• Keep accurate records of fire safety equipment maintenance, inspections, and training sessions.
• Advise management on fire safety improvements and best practices.
Qualifications and Skills:
• Bachelors degree in Fire Science, Occupational Safety, or a related field (preferred).
• Certification in fire safety and emergency management (e.g., NFPA, OSHA, NEBOSH).
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in fire safety and emergency response.
• Strong knowledge of fire codes, regulations, and safety protocols.
• Ability to conduct fire risk assessments and safety audits.
• Excellent communication and training skills.
• Ability to respond quickly and effectively in emergency situations.
• Proficiency in using fire safety equipment and emergency response tools.
• Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
